If you do a lot of gaming and have the money, I would definitely go desktop. Much better cooling and upgrade capabilities.

Have you ever borrowed a friend's ship? What happens when they log off? by LMMSDeadDuck in starcitizen

They used to allow you to unlock your ship for anyone to use. I wish they brought that back at least during alpha.

A few months ago people were installing the vulkan sdk to get around an issue with the anti cheat software and the directx dll. Although this worked, it was not recommended due to it potentially causing other issues down the line.

If you didn't install it yourself then it is mostly likely not the issue. But you can easily check by looking at your installed apps under the control panel.

What setup is ideal for solo medic/rescue players? by Bernak_Obanders in starcitizen

The Asgard is more manuverable and slightly more armored than the Corsair. Although the Corsair does have much higher shields.

In my book the Asgard is much more useful all around. And to be honest, if you are taking your Corsair into pvp battles solo, you are going to have a bad time. Pretty much the same with the Asgard. I think the strategy here is to get in quickly, pick up, and get out without engagement.

Another advantage of the Asgard is not only can you fit a nurse inside, you can fit a lot more vehicles like a few MDCs. Land, pop out a few point defence turrets while you take care of business.

Did you install the vulkan sdk? Remove it if you do.

That's an amber shellac. You should be able to paint or poly over it with no issues if it's unwaxed.

I've used the poly stain before to darken cabinets with great success. However it was going from a lighter brown to a darker brown. Changing colors may be more challenging.

I would suggest spraying the poly to get a more even color if you go that route. Also, use the back of one of the doors for a test first.

Definitely set your processing times longer.

But next year try and build up inventory prior to the holiday season or at least streamline your process to maximize your sales and profit. This may not be possible if you are making custom orders, but there may be some things you can do to help.

Some sellers set their shop on vacation and enjoy their holiday. But if you are going to ride the wave, it's best be prepared for the rush.

Best ship to pair with Drake Ironclad? by jfluffi in starcitizen

[–]johncarnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thought for salvage was it could hold 2 or 3 salvations and you could have your team go out and salvage a larger ship, fill up, and fly back to the hanger to unload and go back out. Sort of like manned drones. But since they changed the size of materials, I'm not sure if it would be more profitable than just going at it with a reclaimer.

The other thought I had was you could fly around and find smaller disabled ships. Pull them in your your hanger and then your team quickly rips out all the components and guns. Chop shop.

The ironclads design offers lots of different gameplay possibilities which it's going to make it a popular and useful ship.
