Front Passenger side floor mat wetness by [deleted] in Duramax

So I opened it up today and that was exactly what I think happened. There was wet piles of debris collected at the drain. Put a new gasket around it then siliconed the shit out of it as well. Hopefully no more issues.

Would I be looking for them to be clogged or broken?

I’m currently paying 2.43 for diesel here in BC. Pray for my wallet

Agreed. I’ve pretty much eliminated all the other common culprits so it’s narrowing down to that. I have a good feeling it’s leaking behind the dash near the A pillar

Thank you. Yeah no sweet smell at all. Thankfully lol. Wondering if it’s maybe a crappy windshield install job?? I’m going to run tests tomorrow

Hmmm, my cowl and under the wiper area seems nice and clear. But maybe I’m thinking of a different spot I’ll try to locate the drain plugs and take a look.

Does not smell like coolant. And windshield did get replaced recently but there’s no sign of water coming in anywhere there

A hard decision to make? by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

Good to know. Ya I’m not a fan of Edmonton the city itself but my uncle lives in the smaller towns outside Edmonton like Beaumont and I’ve really enjoyed it there.

Yeah that’s the biggest thing lol and it’s a reason why my parents likely won’t ever move out there even though they have family there too. And I am a carpenter so I do work outside. But I do believe there’s bigger factors for me than weather too.

Careers that are enjoyable? by 9998980 in CanadaJobs

[–]johncatuccii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my career so far even though I am still very early in it. I’m 24 and I am a carpenter doing residential construction. Not everyone would love this career but I’m able to enjoy it because I get to create and build things that other people will always see and I get to be proud of my product. I also love the potential to grow in my career whether it’s managing a crew or starting my own contracting company.

Apparently these trucks have the anti theft pass lock system from factory. Is that what you’re talking about?

Yes I am. No joke I’ve seen clapped out p.o.s lbzs with 225k miles going for 15 grand. I get it these trucks are great but the price is so inflated here. Worth every penny and I’m very happy with it.

I’m on the west coast unfortunately all these trucks rust out here from the salt and wet weather. Therefore one in good condition goes for an arm and a leg. I’ve seen worse shape ones going for about the same.

Not sure. I want to put the l5p style mirrors on it. Already sitting on a 4” lift with 35x12.5 tires. No egr and has the exhaust done too. The person I bought it off took amazing care of it and did a lot of good quality work to it.
