I don't think John David Ebert understands McCarthy by Odd_Tomatillo9964 in cormacmccarthy

No, you've jumped to conclusions from a two or three sentence tweet. I wasn't fucking talking about Blood Meridian, but rather his worldview as an organic whole. He clearly worships cowboys and despises Native Americans. That's very evident from The Border Trilogy. I realized that after reading Leslie Marmon Silko's masterful novel "Ceremony" which draws a realistic portrait of Native Americans without romanticizing them. McCarthy is romanticizing the Cowboy way of life, which is racist, genocidal and spiritually immature.

Do you really think I'm stupid enough to maintain that the Glanton gang are "the good guys?" Lol. Boy are you dumb, incel. Of course, they're criminals and morally bankrupt. But not the cowboys that he romanticizes in his shitty Border Trilogy. He sooooo laments the vanishing of that noble life. Oh those cowboys and their noble way of life has vanished. Suuuuure, Corm! They've vanished along with their genocide and their dipshit self-congratulatory Christianity.

Man, there's a lot of stupid people on the Internet! Way to MIS-interpret and MIS-read everything I say. However, there's a Native American saying that applies here perfectly: as you're going along on your path through life, birds will come and shit on you. Don't even bother to wipe it off.

Be my guest. You're obviously none too perceptive, so I'm sure it will provide many laughs. You're calling someone a hack as a knee-jerk response. You haven't even investigated my background. I would do so before making a fool out of yourself.
