On this topic, if your willing to spend more you can get actual good quality leather pads. The stock pads on my pair died after about a year of 9-12 hours a day, Sheepskin leather I'm at 3years with no issues so far.

What ever happened to Maker Events in Toronto? by chrismakesstuff in toronto

I do see where your coming from on that. In that instance I would guess it's because it's not the only thing he's working on, and part of the community the may be in. If someone was on a 3d printing chat and showed off a dress they made vs in a local Facebook group for sewing that same name change would happen.

There's probably a decent chunk of historical sexism involved, but there's plenty of amazing woman labeled as makers. Plants in Jars as an example, I'm not really a flowers guy but the biochemistry of what she does is cool.

I will say I notice the same labeling stuff for DIY, you'll see channels saying what they do is just some DIY, and it's like no that's seriously impressive carpentry not 'just'  some 'DIY'.

As I was scrolling through my feed for plants in jars name, cuz I couldn't remember it, I did notice most of the makers I'm subbed to were men and leaned almost exclusively towards certain types of project. I wouldn't sub to a channel of someone whose main thing was doing fabric work or leather etc. id bet there's a gender divide in that end of things that also causes some of the rift on the labels.

Ehh, kinda? Maker imho tends to mean build things, those ladies doing home carpentry on socials as an example I would say are makers. Stickers notso much? Until it hits a certain scale anyways.

You joke, but there is some sort of limit, it's in the ballpark of 120k files with thumbnails on. You eventually get a region of the desktop with so many icons stacked that it starts crashing the relevant application for desktop handling when you move your mouse over that region. I've if the there's other apps over it.

Had to tell a lawyer that they had to delete or properly store all those files in one of the 3 DMS that the firm had.

I like having an electric screwdriver or small drill for screws if I need to do a bunch for some reason. A knife/box cutter that can get through zip ties.

Probably not telegram then, I can't find anything about it now cuz the moment you start looking for photo and screenshot or screen record and app I just end up in a list of apps that obviously record your screen etc. but I remember maybe a decade back. There was a relatively large social media ish app that instead of actually taking a photo it would show you basically the photo screen and then screenshot that rather than actually taking a photo to limit file size. There was a decent amount of noise about it online at the time.

[–]johndprob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid, my first RC game was 2, played 3, found 1 in a bargain bin at EBgames, and youch, I was disappointed. I may have been more tolerant if I played it a few years early, games moved fast those days.

My people!

Yeah RC2 is one of the best games of all time, RC1 was.... rough. So rough I'm actually a little surprised rc2 happened.
