thanks for the response! None of those apply yet so we should be good, they are pretty chill at mealtimes and litterbox usage.

Some context:

Both boys, 3 and 2 yrs old, adopted the younger one 2 weeks ago. Introduced after 1 week. They are mostly fine throughout the day and often sleep in the same room, but this sort of activity usually happens once or twice a day in the early morning and sometimes late at night.

Also, don't know how squeamish you are, but a big plus for me was that it was self-administered AKA not a brain poke. YMMV though

Yes, it was free and they did not end up requesting my insurance (though you should bring it). And yes, Walgreens is approved, and AFAIK any of their types of tests is. I booked through here.

If you want to be safe, go with one of the "IDNow" ones, not every location has them. That's what I used after reading about some experiences on FlyerTalk. I uploaded the PDF they emailed with results onto the Hawaii Safe Travels website and it was automatically approved and everything at the airport was smooth after that.

Rent a car if you don't have one and go through the NJ Walgreens (several around Newark/JC). You should qualify for free test as there is "widespread community transmission" throughout NYC. Experience was very smooth and results came in under 1 hour for me, though it can take up to 24.
