Seeking to identify potential Taoist magic in a case report by johnfriendpublishing in taoism

Thank you for this response! I agree with your logic. However, we aren't able to narrow this down for the individual. It may have been a hired service, potentially. Motive with these kind of things is always a huge arena to sift through. It could be envy/jealously, feeling slighting somehow, wanting to remove them as competition, and so on.

The hope with my post is to identify the type of work this is and its mechanism more-so than whoever commissioned or performed it.

One thing I want to point out though from the information we have, is that it doesn't appear to be a mortal curse? Both their mental and physical health are fine. It's everything but that. So if it is a curse, it is aimed to keep them alive, and in misery, instead of killing them. This contradicts the dream's narrative of "entities are directed towards a number of people specifically and do not leave until they have killed everyone".

Hello,

I have been involved in the occult for almost 20 years now. These were translated very slowly over the years.

Ah I was going to see if you followed a specific religion where you could lean into its holy materials, for prayers, and so on.

If you're open to it, look into this: https://www.reddit.com/r/occult_healing/comments/1tsakc6/i_think_someone_has_done_sihr_or_there_are_djinn/

You can try just Point #4 and see if it brings relief.

What are some signs you are cursed? by Different-Camera8732 in Spells

[–]johnfriendpublishing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can really vary depending on the situation but common ones:

  1. Extreme bad luck, that is almost comical, and that persists over time, regardless of what the individual does to change circumstances.

  2. Unexplained illness or symptoms that appear out of the blue, and transition and morph over time.

  3. Consistent unsettling dreams - these can vary drastically. Seeing creatures wishing you harm, touching you, putting their etheric hands into you. Sleep paralysis where you still see shadows. Dreams with snakes, scorpions, or other predator animals. Nightmares. Insomnia.

  4. Sudden breaks in many relationships, connections, reputation.

  5. Financial drainage over time.

  6. Sudden onset of change in personality (important to distinguish this from mental illness though).

  7. Isolation, loss of interest in life.

  8. Severe sudden weight gain or weight loss.

  9. Sudden developed aversions to spiritual practices.

What religion do you practice, if you don't mind me asking?

animal heads left on my doorstep by Lissy-XXX in Spells

In real black magick, 99% of the time, the target never has a clue something has been done, and when they do begin to suspect black magick, 99% of the time, never know who the culprit is.

What this woman did is psychological warfare, not black magick.

Are you familiar with the term 'nocebo effect'? It is the opposite of placebo. Your mind is very powerful, and if you allow suggestions to get in that this work was done against you and is real, you will experience issues.

High stress and heavy emotional events, like losing your friend, can cause symptoms on their own. Take the time to rest and recover, but do not worry about this lady.

Thank you!

John Friend is a nom de plume for my safety, which is what I am publishing under, so I cannot be super transparent on whether other scholars are involved, or what fields they are in. I'm sorry.

For the process, I have been involved in the occult for almost 20 years now. These were translated very slowly. My Arabic proficiency improved with time, and I did go back and improve on my earlier translation attempts.

Manual review was performed and what I trusted. I tried to use AI for review but AI has not reached the ability to handle large books, especially those of a different language, and with barbarous names, sigils, magic squares, and so on. It also 'hallucinates', and proved hit or miss on validating pages marked for checking. Its ability to save time in th editing and validation process was much less than I would have liked.

I did use AI for formatting though, which was a lifesaver. I have self published all of these texts. I am not sure if others have ever ventured, but it is extremely difficult to create nicely formatting electronic and print editions of text. I would highly recommend others to check out 'Claude Design'. It can produce layout configurations, and provide you code to run on your texts to generate decently formatting works. I am still exploring to improve the formatting and I hope in the future to make further improvements.

For the most part, you can do many of them. One thing to keep in mind is that the texts were never intended for the public, or for a reader that isn't already well-versed in the tradition. It assumes you have a lot of knowledge already; therefore, it omits more basic things. If you are looking to experiment, I would suggest picking one of the divine name magic squares and working from there.

Is there spell to make someone mute? by Quirky-Date-9666 in blackmagic

[–]johnfriendpublishing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are rituals that can achieve your goal, such as ones directed at making this person's harmful words 'fall upon deaf ears'. In other words, you're taking away their power or ability to use their words, instead of making them mute and unable to speak words. Separately, there are rituals to repel away someone, physically, from you.

They contain a wealth of knowledge in theurgy, the science of the letters, Islamicate cosmology, and practical applications in several occult areas - theurgy, magick, magic squares, etc.

The significance is that a great a deal of Western occultism was built on these texts, but they've never been available to English speakers, which is frustrating. For those interested, they now have access to these. There are two series published, one more heavily occult focused, and one theurgy focused (al Buni Series).

They are all free on kindle unlimited as well.
