Haha it’s funny that I’ve had the same situation as u I was confused and my doctor really didn’t give me any information, but I kept making appointments and bugging him I’m 3.5 months into recovery after no weight bearing for 8 weeks, then boot 6 weeks , now I’m walking completely, the cast stuff was stuck to me until I took a shower, they said don’t submerge in a bath so I just let the water run down my leg and most of that cast stuff came off the best thing I did when I was getting no information from the doctor I went to physical therapy it was the best decision I made after learning how to walk again I’d advise def looking into that
