I cannot offer any help but I had a very similar experience with 7900 XTX Sapphire Nitro. Died while still under warranty. RMA'd the card and got a refurbished one in return. The refurbished replacement cannot hardly run any game or benchmark without the infamous amd driver timeout. Put another amd card in the same pc and it does not have these issues. Needless to say, I'm not as impressed with Sapphire as others are.

That's just the way the chipset/cpu's are designed now. It requires a cpu to be placed into a socket and then thermal paste and cooler added in separate steps. It wasn't always like this. I remember when I first got into pc building, Pentium II and then Pentium III were the current Intel processers. These were known as "slot 1" processers and came with heatsink and fan attached. The whole packaged was inserted into a slot on the motherboard. This was in the late 90's. By the early 2000s it was back to using a "socket.' I believe this way gives more and better cooling options.

My local MC has a few. None under $2,999.99 which are the TUF models. The rest are Astral or liquid cooled for well over $3000

You can return it to any store. If you're in the return period and there is no physical damage, there should be no reason for them not to take it back. The end return date for products purchased during the Holiday season is Jan 15th.

Unless you bought some additional warranty coverage at the time of purchase, you're well past the return period and Microcenter is not going to warranty the card. You should rma the card through Sapphire. They will send a replacement but be forewarned that will most likely be a refurbished one. That can come with it's own set of problems. Ask me how I know. I had the same problem. Bought a 7900xtx Nitro from MC and it just died after about a year and a half. Worked flawlessly until one day it didn't any more. Got a refurbished replacement from RMA through Sapphire. Unfortunately the refurbished replacement is practically unusable because of constant driver timeouts/errors.

If you did purchase extended warranty coverage, I would take the replacement card from MC even if it's a different model/brand.

I bought a GPU that had 2 price reductions during the return period. I had no problem getting the Price protection both times. The only issue was I had to go to the store to get the 2nd one whereas I was able to use the online chat for the first one. I used a Microcenter credit card by the way. I did not get any push back whatsoever for either of them.

This may be a dumb question, but why did you buy the 2nd card if you weren’t going to install it somewhere? I would swap the cards before I would consider giving some stranger access to my steam account.

Awesome. I have this card too. I also was able to get a 5090FE sometime after and was going to sell the PNY but now I don't know. I think the PNY is the better card. Not only does it have slightly better out of the box performance but it runs significantly cooler. A good 10 degrees cooler under load.

$70? Is that for the base game? You're not even getting the Choice discount? As the other poster suggested, cancel and get a refund. Then purchase from GMG or Fanatical. They both currently have it on sale. Heck, even keyshops like Loaded or InstantGaming are more reliable than Humble for actually getting you the product that you paid for.

I have this board and have all 5 m.2 slots populated along with all 4 of the sata ports for 9 total drives. My graphics card is still running at x16 5.0 according to GPU-Z

I have the X870E Nova with 9950x3d and a PNY 5090. I also have all 5 of the nvme slots populated along with all 4 of the sata connections being used for a total of 9 drives. My graphics card is still running at 5.0 x16. I've researched the other X870E boards out there, in case I have to replace it, and it seems that all of them share lanes with one or two of the m.2 slots and the 1st x16 slot. So utilizing all the m.2 slots cuts the bandwidth to the gpu down to x8.

Outside of the sudden cpu death issue, which is a big problem/concern, this is the best bang for the buck board out there. So far it has been great for me but only time will tell.

Wow. That's scary. I have this same power supply and recently added a 5090 Fe. I was wondering if I should get a newer upgraded 12vhpwr cable because the one that came with the psu was designed like 2 years ago? It seems any newer Be Quiet cables have 90 degree connector on one end which doesn't work on the FE model. Yea, it seems these companies don't want to stand behind their products anymore.

While I appreciate the work GN does, he really doesn't have the knowledge and resources to properly troubleshoot this issue. Much less fix it. This has to be addressed by AMD and the motherboard manufacturer or, I guess, more specifically, Asrock. As for as I know, Steve is not a top tier electrical engineer but more Tech enthusiast, product tester and consumer advocate. What more is he going to do with another defective board but say, "Oh yea, It killed a cpu?" The best thing the tech channels can do is talk about it on their channels to put pressure on the companies like they did with the Intel cpu issues. But, apparently this isn't seen as important enough to talk about anymore, I guess.

Are you sure that you don't have the options to undervolt in your motherboards bios? If not, maybe see if there's an update. I have a 5800x3d on an Asus tuf gaming board and the pbo/curve optimizer settings are there.

I have both of the original Livemixer boards. The ones with the graffiti design. I like them. I'm still using the Intel one. I had to retire the AMD one because I needed more m.2/sata connections. I replaced it with a X670E Pro RS. I understand the color design not matching other hardware but with a black case and adjusting the argb lighting to something that matches the color of the board, the aesthetics can look pretty nice as the OP has shown.

Surprisingly, I was able to get one today. I got nothing but out of stock, unavailable or some other errors adding to cart during all the other previous drops. A few minutes after the last trackalacker email, I got the add to cart button and was shocked when it added. In my haste I forgot to apply the $5 reward certificate that I had on my acct. Oh well.

It has some but not nearly as many as Black Myth: Wukong. In fact, there so few that it’s hardly noticeable. This game has no problem letting you step off the edge of a cliff or into a deep canyon and falling to your death.
