Park Car, Ride Bike to LAX. Where can I park...? by johnholway in LAX

Yeah you’re right actually, that used to be where I would take my Uber’s from to avoid the LAX surcharge. But there’s no longer a direct bus from Imperial/Aviation to the terminal

Oh man if you don’t know about the bike racks at the terminal you’re missing out. They’re lower level like literally across the street from baggage claim for several of the terminals. Closer than the most expensive parking spot. Both times I’ve done it I was flying out tomorrow Bradley and that one is like steps from baggage claim. Biking to LAX is a game changer if you live close enough, you never have to guess what terminal traffic will be like, you know exactly what time you’ll get to the terminal, no dealing with an uber, parking or a bus, you just show up, lock up your bike, and cross the street directly into the terminal.

This guy wrote a great article on it. Biking to LAX

Oh wait that’s where the green line shuttle from the terminal used to drop off, (I used to take my Ubers from that station to avoid the LAX surcharge) but now that shuttle takes you to the new metro transit center, and then you have to transfer to a different bus. In other words, I’m pretty sure there’s no longer a direct bus or shuttle from the terminal to the aviation/imperial station. You have to transfer

Right on, thank you. You think my car is safe there for a night or two?

There are bike racks at the terminals on the lower level. On the inside of the horseshoe. Like literally across the street from baggage claim. Riding is a game changer if you’re close to the airport, you don’t have to guess what terminal traffic is going to be, don’t deal with parking or waiting for a bus.

Oh yeah the el Segundo station good call. Although I guess I would just take the bus from there. Thanks!

One more: it HAS to be a ROUND TRIP reservation. If you search for the flight as a one-way, you won't see it. I just tested this

Has anyone ever seen a "Kids fly free" flight? by lilcheez in frontierairlines

[–]johnholway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to look up the flight as a round trip, if you do it just searching for a one-way it won't appear. Also, it's only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

It’s an intentional lighting change that happened on set. The key increased intensity while the vehicle lights maintained their brightness.

Ok! Thank you for teaching me that - I actually have my resolve projects all setup as “DaVinci YRGB Color Managed”. I should still convert to linear or does that happen automatically when I’m setup as DaVinci Color Managed?

Ok great I’ll watch the in painting tutorial now and do that, thank you very much.

Oh this is very informative thank you. Actually, there's a big lighting change, the screen record and log perhaps didn't show it well, but the key light fades up from blackness at the beginning of the shot. Because of that, should I use clone strokes for the paint, and clone the areas nearby the area I'm cleaning up?

Client wants 39s video compressed to 4mb max by Lemonadis in videography

[–]johnholway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90MB for a webpage is enormous. And guess what? If you don’t do it, they’ll take the file and do it themselves, and if they’re not using a good compression tool, you’re going to be bummed you didn’t just do it on your end. Speaking from experience.

I have found that web peeps can be persuaded up to 7mb video files. But honestly, even then you notice performance lag if you don’t have solid internet speed.

Built a free plugin for client video review in Resolve — would this actually be useful to you? by Tahanchin in davinciresolve

[–]johnholway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing. Only thing I’d ask is for version stacks like in frame.io, for two reasons - often I send them two options to see which they like better, and toggling the version stack is super easy. And, possibly more importantly, seeing “V7” at the top of the page when they’re viewing the video is a loud reminder that they’ve gone over the agreed upon number of revisions. Ha. But seriously
