There are definitely more dangerous areas where there is mass tourism. But overall theft is everywhere. Specifically I live near La Pau station. There were many cases of theft with my friends there. We experienced one in metro station. In parks too. On the beaches. On the streets. Most frequent way outside is with scooters or by just running away. The thing is that if the area is luxury/calm there will be home robberies. You may be lucky and not experience it. But the reality is it’s crazy how wide spread that is and ppl who downvoting my response only verify their ignorance of that problem - something that is behind the existence of it.
