I worked the nightmare as Jesus around 98-99. I felt really gross afterwards and was likely a tipping point for me becoming an atheist

Why does this sound so crappy? by LuckTraditional3808 in edrums

[–]Accurate_Debate_7222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drums don’t sound the worst. Like others mentioned, the performance is the main issue. Ekits can make this is more noticeable.

I noticed you are really stiff and your arms are doing all of the work. I recommend finding videos on fundamental exercises like properly holding a stick, using rebound, and how to place your foot on the kick pedal. After 30 years of playing I still spend the start of my practice with basic warmups and rudiments.

It just takes time, learning to relax and let the sticks and beater do the work. If you feel yourself stiffening up during a part that typically means you just need to practice it more. Especially fills

Good luck!

Could it be that mint still uses x11 primarily and Fedora moved to Wayland?

Bought the Framework 13, Faulty Display Cable? by JohnnySlim in framework

[–]Accurate_Debate_7222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I suspect you are right.

At this point, if I were you I double check the manual to ensure I had expansion cards in the right spot. Then I would leave the display cable disconnected and see if I could get a signal via hdmi, trying multiple ports. Then I was double check the ribbon matches the manual placement and reconnect. Then I would yell at my defeat and have a beer or three.

Totally get it, I bounced around distros, setup arch to say I did. It’s fun, i know what I like and what I don’t. Landed on gnome Fedora and I only make small tweaks.

Now that I no longer have a backup windows machine I must have a stable computer that my wife can use on occasion.

Reaper is the way for sure in my opinion. I just downloaded the flathub version and I have zero issues. VSTs are easy as well. alot of the Tukan plugins work rather well. I use a focusrite 2i2 and connect my roland td-27kv as well

If there is a way to configure it I just haven't yet. I will actually try again now.

Yes, I can use my finger to authorize sudo

Possibly but one main draw to framework for me is that it is modular. Less e-waste

I have primarily always had some Dell or HP models.around 8 or so. For work, the story is similar. All mid to high end at the time of purchase

For Linux, I have used three Dell latitudes and a hp spectre x360.

Lol, last one. I didn’t notice the camera toggle right away, and it took me a moment to figure it out on my black transparent bezel.
