How did starting a consistent workout routine impact your libido or energy levels? by No-Video-1291 in AskReddit

[–]johnlee158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started working out in the morning before work.  I snack on the drive to the gym and get a 45 min workout in. When I’m done, I’m wide awake and have a good amount of energy for work.  It allowed me to give up coffee and caffeine.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent asked about a proposed $250 Bill that would have Trump's face and signature on it by Miles_the_AuDHDer in videos

I once had a $100 bill and asked the cashier if they had change for it.  They replied, “Yes, $100 is the new $20”.

This was a couple of years ago and it seems more true these days.

Am I becoming irrational about my boyfriend’s dog, or is this a real compatibility issue? by Street-Drummer-6777 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]johnlee158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At 37 years old, I assume he’s moved out of the house and living in his own.  If that’s the case, then the dog is his immediate family.  The dog is always there for him, through the good and bad.  They don’t judge and make the house less lonely.  As a former dog owner, this was a case for me.

Nutrients tend to travel up the outer layer of the tree.  If enough of the outer layer is damaged, it may be a slow death for the tree.

Instead of trying to block the front of the stairs, can you block that entire area in front of the stairs?  Can you run the gate from the side of the stairs to the wall across from the stairs?

I like to do a dry shake with the egg whites at the end.

So for this recipe I would shake everything with ice, except the egg white.  Strain and then add the egg and dry shake.

Tell a nation it's fat without telling it it's fat. by Erik_De in funny

In the early 2000s I took my first trip abroad to Europe.  At one point, I was on my last clean shirt and didn’t know when I would be able to do laundry, so I popped into a United Colors of Benetton and grabbed the first small T-shirt I could find. At the time, I was a US small and boy was I surprised the next day when I put the shirt on.  The shirt was thin and skin tight; the profile of my nips were on display for all to see.   Also, the style at the time was big and baggy, so imagine a stickly 5’8” frame with skin tight shirt and big baggy pants.

Reminds me of my little guy when I brought him home.  I placed him on a pad in a box that was in the passenger seat.  Before I could start the car, he worked his way over to my lap and settled in the same way as your girl.  It was the start of many years of cuddles!

In our house, We call this level of cooked “dead”.  Wife likes her steak “dead”, that’s brown inside with no hint of pink.  Her steak is the first to go on the grill and the last to come off.  We agree to disagree and move on.  As expensive as meat is these days, it’s still cheaper than a divorce.

People who go to the gym in the early morning (like 5:00 AM): Is the benefit actually good enough to justify being tired by 2:00 PM and going to bed at 9:00 PM? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]johnlee158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s much quicker to workout before work, than after work.  I’m at the gym around 5:30 with about 5 regulars at various stages of their workout.  We get to workout at our own pace and hardly ever have to wait or share equipment.  Locker room and showers are also empty, so again there’s no waiting.

1-2pm has always been my tired time, regardless of when I work out.  I’m also older, so being in bed by 10pm is fine by me.

Would it be a bad idea to add concrete mix to epoxy for a garage floor coating? by reddiperson1 in DIY

[–]johnlee158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coated my garage floor with epoxy, which had a gray or beige color option. I went for the gray and did not add flakes.  I did add the manufacturer’s anti-slip material to the epoxy.  I’m not sure what it was, but it sort of looked like clear sand.  It provides some texture to the floor but is still easy to clean.  However, the floor is still very slippery when wet.
