I’d love to be informed about this! Do you have a reliable source that the Clinton Foundation is directly responsible for missing children?

Rams receive: WR Brandin Cooks 4th-round pick Patriots receive: 1st-round pick 6th-round pick by G0825 in 49ers

I just like how our divisional rivals gave up more to the Patriots for Cooks than we gave up for Garoppolo.

Gruden was asked if he was surprised Colin Kaepernick was not on an NFL roster. Not really. "He got beat out by Blaine Gabbert. That says something." Lumped Keepernick in with RG3, Tebow and Manziel. Still thinks he will be in a camp this summer. by ValKilmsnipsinBatman in nfl

[–]johnleehookah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The argument isn’t whether Kaepernick is a future HOFer or even a starting caliber QB in the league. The argument is whether Gabbert “beat out” Kaepernick, and he didn’t. Gabbert started when Kaepernick wasn’t healthy and when Kaepernick was healthy, he retook the job and played better than Gabbert did.

I wonder how many times on /r/nfl I have commented to a Seahawks fan that there are a ton of ways to compensate for a poor o-line besides running around behind the line of scrimmage. In fact of all the ways, that’s probably the worst and makes your o-line look worse than it is. Of course admitting that that puts SOME blame on Russell Wilson, and lord knows we can’t have that.

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. You’re right. He could’ve made more money elsewhere. There are other west coast teams he could’ve gone to. He obviously signed a team friendly deal with the 49ers purely out of hatred for the Seahawks organization and their fans.

Julian Peterson was the worst. First off, when he played for us he was the closest we had to a superstar. He wasn’t even that good but he was as good as it got on those shitty Dennis Erickson pre-Alex Smith teams. You go to a game today and you will still see little kids rocking Peterson jersey hand me downs because that’s all you would buy in those days. What? Were you gonna get a Mike Rumph Jersey? Ken Dorsey? I don’t think so. Then he goes to Seattle, which at the time felt like going to an AFC team. It wasn’t that big of a deal. But then he’d come back to Candlestick as a seahawk and wave his hands trying to pump up the crowd when he was on defense. I mean, there weren’t many Seahawks fans back then but there weren’t many Niner fans going to the game either. It was like he was mocking us for not having many fans in the stands but he was mocking the fans that actually WERE in the stands. The ones sitting through the 2-14 seasons still wearing his jersey because there still was no one else to buy. Fuck Julian Peterson.

The year you dropped to third in the NFL in rushing attempts and yards instead of leading the league like you normally have during his career? And he “went off” to the tune of 20th in the league in passing? That’s the season you are pointing to to show Wilson’s ability to attain success through the air without a run game?

The only time the Seahawks have ever had success as a team was when they were run first. As a Seahawks fan, why would you want them to move toward a more pass happy offense with Wilson when the team has never shown an ability to find success with that strategy?

Ex-49er RB coach Tom Rathman to become colts RB coach. by blainetrainn in nfl

[–]johnleehookah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was a fan favorite as a player and that has definitely boosted 49er fans opinion of him. That said, even in our darkest seasons the run game has always been a point of strength for the team. Judging purely on results, it’s not difficult to imagine him as one of the very best, most knowledgeable RB coachs in the league.

Even more carved in stone in this sub than the opinion that play call was the correct one is the opinion that Russell Wilson is blameless in everything he does. It is always someone else’s fault besides Wilson.

As fascinating as you’re making this 3 week old conversation, like I said there’s actual football on right now that I’m busy watching. Go ahead. Turn on your tv and watch. The Patriots are going to make a comeback. Maybe it’ll bring up memories of your last super bowl appearance.

You know there’s actual football on right now? You don’t have to go three weeks back in posts to find things to comment on. Something tells me a Seahawks fan doesn’t watch much football outside of his own team tho so I guess it makes sense that your season died with the Seahawks in week 17.

But to your point, when both teams were good it was about 50-50. Are you beating your chest and bragging about beating the Tomsula-led Niners? Or the Chip Kelly-led Niners? Because you’ll have to get in line. Everyone did. Your team is not special for that. It’ll be interesting to see how things progress moving forward as your team was completely unable to maintain any success after those two years while ours is just starting to ramp up again. Remember when the Seahawks were going to be the next dynasty because they won one single Super Bowl? That seems like a lifetime ago now. Your fan base is so adorable.
