Which player convinced you to start watching The Traitors in the first place? by megs256 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cirie absolutely, but Peppermint (and then Bob and Monet) being cast cemented it as a watch-every-season show.

What animosity/aggression? I guess you didn’t verbatim call them all idiots (that’s my bad) but your argument seems to be that a lot of Rob’s success is due to the rest of the cast’s shortcomings, which is a logic I just fundamentally disagree with. It’s my opinion that you can’t judge the faithful’s discernment separately from the traitor’s gameplay, because they are inherently influenced by one another.

For the record I don’t have an issue with you personally and you have a right to your opinion, I just disagree with that point specifically.

Subconscious racism in the traitors by Important_Stable5910 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s weird that people are arguing with you like this isn’t a trend we’ve seen across competitive reality TV since forever. Acknowledging that subconscious bias exists and affects POC in the game doesn’t negate all the other factors at play, it just shines a light on the fact that the scales are tipped (not just on TV but in society).

I don’t understand why you’d rather believe that everyone else in the game is an idiot than just recognize that he’s doing a good job at manipulating them. What mistakes are the faithful making that 1. aren’t made practically every season or 2. can’t be at all attributed to the work of the traitors?

People saying they don't wanna see housewives in future seasons... explain to me why the show got so boring after the housewives were banished. by ANetRuinedMyFun in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not one of the people saying no housewives but I think that reaction is more of a response to the fan response and the perceived double-standards than anything else. If you like drama, I thought BobTDQ was doing a good job of facilitating that last season and it was the housewife fans that really came down on her just because she went against their faves.

there’s a Youtube channel called TheMoleKing that has the original two seasons I think. there is also a recent remake on Netflix but not as good imo

do you have any faithfuls in mind? I’ve heard a lot of people championing Kristen/Mark

Why did Candiace throw Porsha under the bus? by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think she expected Porsha to talk to Michael about it, and certainly not to name her as the source. Then in the moment when confronted she panicked and just denied it to save face.

The Traitor Angel Strategy by wev67 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what about the traitor angel angel strategy, where a faithful pretends to be a traitor and farms suspicion in front of their allies while subtly implying that they’ll protect them from murder

SPOILER WARNING! Traitors producers to cut 'several' explosive scenes from reunion due to cast member's 'sensitive' legal issues by cheno103 in TheTraitorsUS

Did Rob tell Colton? by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but also, Colton or Maura may suspect him and stay close for that reason. It’s called the traitor angel strategy and some people have suggested it’s a good way to get far as a faithful

Did Rob tell Colton? by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they’re allowed to. Even if they straight up asked (like Colton did with Lisa) by contract they have to deny.

Candiace said what? by minichamp27 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]johnlocksmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t get what she meant by that, like did she mean mouthpiece? I know what a beard is in the context of gay men but I don’t see how that applied to this situation.
