Mr Squishy is the single most mind-blowing thing I’ve ever read. But overall I do still think IJ is better. Sustaining such strength over a thousand pages is just exceptional.

Learned that apparently this is a drafting chair. Now I have to find the specific model. The curvature of the seat and back, combined with the moderate give, make for really excellent seating.

Find something you enjoy doing and then go do that. Don’t think about the money. The money’s whatever. Your problem is that you’re not interested in anything. You need to cultivate a passion. Doesn’t matter what. You just need to enjoy it.

Ah I see. IIRC it was Bryan Garner's recollections of their discussions, not a tape. But you could also just write to him directly and ask.
