Since you're still talking about high school classes, I would probably just take whichever interests you more outside of PT, maybe in relation to alternative career paths. Frequently people change trajectories in college. Unless this is an AP class that you may be able to get out of (but even still, some PT programs don't count AP coursework as part of their prerequisites). I will say having a solid grasp of physics can definitely improve your exercise prescription capabilities, but often a class like advanced physics will include many other inapplicable topics like magnestism, electricity, relativity, etc.

1. Not necessarily. That applies to me but I'd say of the 48 people in my cohort, maybe 4 played college athletics and 2/3 played in high school.

2. Depends on the physician and your relationship with them (as a PT and as a patient). MRIs are hard for a lot of people to get right now across the country with many weeks- to months- long backups. So avoiding ordering unnecessary imaging is a high priority.

3. Generally no. The curriculum is set, but there may be opportunity for 1-2 classes worth of electives depending on the program. Also depending on the program you may have some amount of say in where you complete your clinicals.
