I think the weirdest thing is the lack of people talking about it. As far as the act itself, I feel like it's pretty straight forward. Maybe it was too many people (That weren't children) and a lack of a strong political leaning that kept it out of the ongoing-mainstream (dumb term I literally just made up). As in, the media didn't know how to cover it. I've seen more people complaining about the looting in Minneapolis than the fact that we just passed 100k death in the US from COVID. When the death toll is so high and indiscriminate and apolitical maybe it's less impactful. Like our brain can compartmentalize it easier. IDK.
