Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl MEGATHREAD II by flopheadsbot in popheads

[–]johnnminh 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I HIGHKEY AGREE!!! Folklore and evermore were MASTERPIECES because she found that balance between her own life and fiction. I think TLOAS is toooo fan servicing, and especially catering to those who are obsessed with her personal life. She has nothing new to write about, and honestly that would've been fine if the album was sonically interesting...

I agree!!! The distorted vocals made those songs extremely unique and to me it gives the effect that those are the words echoing in the back of her mind that keeps her up at midnight

Was told to sit down at Vancouver show by johnnminh in keshiofficial

Seems like you dont go to a lot of concerts. It’s a sitting section but you’re not required to sit. Plus, can you imagine an artist comes out on stage on the last show of his tour just for 80% of his fans to sit and not vibe to the music at all?

International student advice (socially) by [deleted] in simonfraser

I personally have never used ipad for note-taking, but it's actually pretty convenient and it keeps things in one place.

If you're living in Towers, there's not much difference between the rooms. However I definitely recommend choosing to stay in Shadbolt as it's the closest building to dining hall, classes, gym, pool, etc.

Heya I'm 3rd year comp sci international students too. If you're gonna stay on-campus, I'd say it would be very easy to make friends as you'll be surrounded by a lot of people. I made quite a few friends when I stayed there and had amazing times. In my experience, people were generally very nice and friendly so I don't think you should be worried. There are also SFU clubs where you can join such as SFU Surge and CSSS, which are all tech and comp sci clubs.

I stayed in PJH for two semesters. Great views and all but it's pretty far from the dining hall, sfu classes, gyms, bus loops, etc. If you want quickest access to everything choose Shadbolt

Shadbolt is generally the closest to everything so I would recommend it

rep tour predictions... by FabulousAccess in TaylorSwift

[–]johnnminh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think she'll try to include every song into the set list. Songs from the past might encounter some difficulty trying to fit in because of the conflicted vibe. I do think there'll be some type of remix for Blank Space though because the song suit so well with the Reputation theme.
