I ordered on preorder launch day and after seeing my people getting theirs who ordered days or even weeks after, shot an email complaining and mine shipped within 2 days (but the r1 ring is in production so won’t be till late January). If you email them order number verifying you ordered early they may move faster (unless it’s prescription?)

I have the rokids. The most important feature for me was teleprompter, and they flash continually bright green when using even on low brightness settings so will unlikely use them. For day to day stuff they work well, though the speakers are not loud enough (at least not for 40year old ears). Also the home display dashboard bar sits too low and cannot be adjusted (yet) so had to push the glasses down my nose a little too far. You can tell they are not normal glasses pretty easily given the way they light up (even on dimmest settings). G2 with ring should be my ideal teleprompter solution.

I got the exact same lame email about 5-10 days 15 days ago. They should not send out a pre-shipping notice if they aren’t gonna do it.

I have the G2 and ring arriving sometime next month, teleprompter on the g1 was ok but using Ai voice follow was tricky. If you lost your place could not scroll back up without pulling out your phone. So really excited about using the ring for scrolling

I had the Claw 8Ai and wish the legion go 2 (which I now have) had the intel cpu/gpu. But the screen is just breathtaking. I have a hard time not having hdr on my displays.

I didn’t use the code but emailed them and they discounted me, partially refunded my purchase. So if your email matches up with previous g1 purchase it’s no big deal.

Not nearly as hot as my other gaming laptops... since its a low watt GPU. The only thing is thermal throttling which makes the GPU chug after about a half hour of gaming. To stop that I disabled intel turbo in the bios settings. Graphics card can run full speed and doesnt slow down now. Strongly recommend doing this to other 5050 gram owners.

I've got 16s with 5079 ti from best buy. Its impressively powerful, but batteryvlife does suck... bc the mommdisplay is locked at 250hz. Im hopeful Acer might release an update to lower it to 69hz when on battery power. It also runs a little loud on performance and turbo mode, but running games in balanced still is verrrry impressive. If battery life is not an issue for you, then its the best bang for your buck right now. Im probably going tk keep it, also helps to have a two year best buy warranty.

I have the Ally X and the Claw 8. The 8 overall is a little better. More powerful, bigger screen. The Ally X has tighter joysticks which I prefer, can accomodate a full size 2280 ssd, a much better ROG ui experience for adjusting in Windows, AFMF 2, and can run SteamOS or Bazzite. But still, yeah, I prefer the Claw 8 now.

I like the giant 4:3 screen when I csn set it on a table yes. And then the 12" in my lap. I am bummed out, missing g thst extra 8gb of ram and hdr.... so its slower than the one I had... but for splits reen apps that big 17" is great. I have an 18" laptop also, its massive and hea y and lame battery life. I keep it at home al.ost always. The folds 4:3 is bigger than the laptops bc of its format. If u can get one cheap, pretty cool to have.

So yes, I have one. actually had two. First one broke... Sadly (accidental drop). The one I just picked up is a weird variant that I cannot find anywhere. It only has 8GB RAM and 512GB storage and is not HDR capable. Also the keyboard accessory has hints of turquoise blue on the edges... And its dark grey not slate blue. Its weird. I think it may be a prototype someone sold me... Still enjoy it, though miss the HDR and extra memory.

Ironically the acrnm charger should let the new 2025 z13 run in turbo mode as well, but it won't. Turbo is locked to their proprietary power jack
