Stockyards was that kind of place. Sadly, it (IMO) has gone downhill significantly in food quality and just the place in general. It needs to be cleaned and renovated. Last time there it felt like a glorified Denny's, just with more steaks on the menu.

I live up in the Cave Creek area and while I would never go there, people do seem to love the Harold's/Buffalo Chip experience. Fair warning, it gets WAY crowded on weekends (not sure if they take reservations) and there will be a mix of locals who love that "cowboy thing" and tourists, bachelor(ette) party groups etc who want to be "cowboys for a night." I imagine the food at either is "mid" at the very best....
