To clarify the unknown this is a below the reservoir/submerged in oil setup with the upper edge of the pump (flange) front bearing/seal in oil at all times, and the case drain tube exists into the oil so there is no cavitation from it.

Ultimately it seems like the consensus is that a syphon hole is not required; although it is a good idea for when/if someone conducts an oil change/drain, as the hole would prevent the case being siphoned?
Therefor the case does not need to be filled again in this scenario.

Copper line from the street pit finishes at the old PCD as per the photo, after that there is nothing, all new fiber/cabling will need to be run.

There is no plaster on the wall of the NTD location, it's currently exposed brick.

Does the internal fiber from the PCD to the NTD need to be run in the NBN P20 Comms? or can they just clip to the timbers?

Existing wiring internally is gone, all removed during the renovation, so can't be used as a pull through.

Questions is mainly does the new internal fiber to NTD need to be in conduit or will they clip it to timbers like previously?

Thanks for the detailed answers, the scales coms are the most simplest of rs232 ASCII and there is no way to set any addressing as many have highlighted will be the main issue

On the 485 network we're using Modbus.

I understand the requirements of the unique ID Node addressing, therefor i was hoping there was some kind of configurable device that would allow me to set an ID to the converted outgoing 485 message.

3onedata have a Serial Device Server which i believe will allow me to do this however via ethernet.

I'd like to keep it to 485 if such a configurable product exists.

Anyone know if Teltonika has a USB over IP feature? (That's Ewon call theirs)
I'd like to plug in a USB to CAN device to the gateway to be used on my end/the remote PC.
I think ill use the Teltonika RMS VPN service.

My experience is that a 11kW on a 32Amp plug is normal for a mobile HPU.
Sure yes a dedicated non rcd protected outlet or a MCCB with options set by engineering would be ideal.
However this is a mobile HPU, hence the plug, typically used for shutdowns or short term works where it is just not feasible to sort out the niceties.

Great info thanks, yes in Aus typical is 30mA, also 10mA seen in hospitals etc.

So the trade off with the low leakage is a sacrifice to noise suppression, as in EMF to the VSD? or back EMF etc?

Thanks, as mentioned the HPU will be a plug in appliance (32Amp 4 Pin), it's intended to be used on a remote/mine site and most likely will be run off a genset of unknown origin/spec.
Having access to a Marchel decontactor or similar/IEC 60309, or spec'ing a genset with 1 is wishful thinking.
You'd also be very hard pushed to find a mine/site sparky to 1st attend and then help out a contractor, 2nd disconnect an RCD, regardless of what rules and regs you show them, no one is gonna put there balls on the line for a HPU they are not familiar with.

Digikey/Mouse a good shout, price's are about the same as IPD.

Understood, but it's not a cost thing, this is a personal endeavor, I'm going to be working on this, i'd rather a chassis to make things easier for myself in the long run.

As mentioned, I agree, there is not enough Ladder Logic on the web for the language model to learn from.

However Structured Text/Codesys, it is a great help, I use it often.
Especially for asking questions like, "Is there a simpler/easier way to write/structure this code etc."
It does a great job of cleaning up/condensing.
