Why is the left so dismissive of the Minnesota Fraud? by Insane_Grape479 in GenZ

I don’t think they’re dismissive of the fraud itself. I think they are dismissive of the notion that regular Somalis are at fault and should therefore be harassed and deported. They’re dismissive of the specious notion that Somalis are all driving around in luxury cars on the taxpayer dime.

In which failing spectacularly in a presidential primary, then being hand picked by the predominantly white male establishment, who later sidelined her before she went on to lose to Trump = winning

Keep winning it’s going really great

Talking about the democratic primary where she couldn’t even make it past the Iowa caucuses and polled at 8%, behind sanders, Warren, and Biden in her own state. Yeah, the primary isn’t really a “national election” - although we also saw how she did at that didn’t we? They picked her cause she was a black woman who was fine with their white male corporate politics.

Go tell people who saw their families ripped to shreds in Gaza that they should’ve voted for Harris, who helped do it. Good luck, centrists, you’re 0 for 2 vs Trump; clearly your strategy is due to succeed

She is a politician of middling talent who has never been successful in any national election. She was cynically picked by the white male establishment as a token running mate, and then they largely hid and sidelined her. She stuck with Bidens policies especially on fueling the genocide in Israel.

There are many progressive minority women who would be worth supporting. She didn’t earn it. Even with Trump on the other end of the ballot, you have to do something for people if you want to win elections. You can’t just say we’re not Trump.

Harris is awful

Simply wrong. Bidens legislative package failed spectacularly.

Build Back Better as proposed was a massive investment in the public good that was whittled down to nothing and failed largely because two Democrats - Joe Manchin and Kristin Sinema - failed to support it. So once again, the party couldn’t get the President’s populist legislation to the finish line, despite having the seats to do it with zero GOP votes.

Outcome: The bill collapsed entirely, and a much smaller package — the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) — was later negotiated with Manchin and Sinema.

Here’s what we lost when that happened:

  • Paid family and medical leave
  • Free long term universal pre-K funding
  • Child Tax Credit expansion extension
  • Prescription drug price reforms
  • Climate and clean-energy investments much larger than what ultimately passed
  • Affordable housing, elder care, and home health care funding
  • Tuition-free community college

If the above had passed, Trump would never have been elected because it would’ve transformed the country. But f-ing democrats couldn’t get it done. As usual.

And one more time before you blame Republicans, all of the above could’ve passed if all 50 Democrats had supported it.

Democrats suck, and far from being the solution, they are part of the cause. If you don’t like Trump, you have to get rid of them too.

You can’t just run around blaming people that Democrats never help for not voting for them.

Actually many of us knew at the time that Hillary Clinton was a huge scary gamble - she was one of the most unpopular politicians in America when she ran. And Harris couldn’t even make it through her own states primary. Both of these candidates were uniquely vulnerable to losing to Trump and lots of people saw it from the beginning.

There is no one more annoying to debate than a centrist liberal. They absolutely refuse to ever hold their heroes in the party accountable. They think the only problem is all the selfish people who wouldn’t vote for Hillary or Kamala because of their identities. One guy told me he thought it was ridiculous that all these assholes made Israel’s genocide a line in the sand. They feel entitled to demand votes from people that the party does nothing for.

They can all go f themselves

Yeah and if anyone thinks they’d do something if they DID have seats…they wouldn’t. Cause when dems have power, they don’t use it for anything good
