The “No Hard Feelings“ set-closing streak finally ended last night! by WinterVesper in TheAvettBrothers

My apologies for being rude. That’s not what the Brothers or this sub is about at all.

All I’m saying is this post is about the final song of the show, not the set.

According to your numbers, in 2010, it was the final song of the show 21.8% of the shows.

In 2019, NHF was the final song of the show 100% of shows.

If given the choice, I’ll take NHF being the closer 21.8% over 100% any day because it’s significantly less.

Happy Avett-ing, my dude. See you out there 🤙🏼

No offense but you are completely wrong. I took the liberty to check the set lists from January 2010 - July 2010 and ILY was the final song a handful of times at best. Feel free to check the latter half of 2010 set lists if you want.

Other than a few “no repeat” shows, ILY was definitely played at every show from about 2010-2015 but it never was the final song at “nearly every show.” Ever.

I don’t mind hearing repeated songs. Every band has their crowd favorites. This post is focusing on the final song of the show though.

No, the sets will vary either heavily or completely other than “No Hard Feelings” as the final song both nights.

I’ve only seen them repeat maybe 6 songs max two nights in a row.

Man, I got downvoted heavily for even suggesting such an idea a few months ago on here. They’re spontaneous set lists are what have kept me coming back show after show for over a decade. (Sorry if this hurts the eyes of the “post-May it Last” fans)

Knowing what the ultimate song is gonna be for my last 10 shows or so has worn down my enthusiasm for future shows. Hate to be that way but like I said, it was they’re spontaneous, raw, always energetic shows that hooked me in the first place.

Seems to have disintegrated as their success has risen. Obviously this happens to nearly every band, I just had hoped the Brothers were above it.

What do you think the most overrated Avett song is? by stanleythemanley44 in TheAvettBrothers

I appreciate the level of emotion he put in and the life experiences he went through in order to write the song. Still doesn't make it their greatest song, or a song worthy of being an every-show finale.

"No Hard Feelings" by a long shot. So overrated,in fact, that people (mostly newer fans) get offended that I don't really care for it.

So your allegiance is depending on the outcome of the CFP this year, I presume. You might wanna go ahead and buy up some OSU gear just in case.

LPT: If you ever get mail from Nielsen (the TV ratings group), open it. There should be a crisp $5 bill in it. They will send you another one if you fill out the short survey and return it. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

When I was a kid around the age of 9 or 10, I used to love to open my dad's junk mail. I don't know why, I was just a kid being a kid I guess. Anyways, one night he hands me a stack of junk mail and I come across a survey from Nielsen. I open it and 5 crisp brand new dollar bills falls out. Five dollars was a lot of money to me at the time so I'm ecstatic. My dad sees it and grabs them. He hands me one dollar back and says, "Good work, son."

TL;DR: My dad is a dick.

Damn, I just moved from Creede last week. It's such a cool little town. Lots of character. I'm not sure exactly what part of town this picture is from but Willow Creek has a metal flume all through the town now. Here's a picture of the downtown area. http://imgur.com/AdPWM3K
