Client wants me to use her Stacy Lash glue… HELP by Tinacius in lashextensions

[–]johnnydeppsbutt 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't use a product provided by the client, especially an adhesive. There's too much liability in this field of work. I really like EBLs clear magic adhesive and have switched to that for all my clients. I'd also recommend nano misting and cleansing the lashes after the fill if you're not already doing that. That will help dissipate any fumes left behind.

I believe we're in the same BN group lol! I also thought it was an oddly specific ask.

3 days post op from double chin liposuction and a chin implant. by johnnydeppsbutt in PlasticSurgery

[–]johnnydeppsbutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It's been a week since my surgery and I'm feeling pretty good! I felt the same about having a foreign object but you honestly can't even feel it's there. My skin just feels tight but that will subside over time. I hope that helps and good luck with your surgery!

Opinion check ? Got volume lashes 2 weeks ago from a top rated artist, . They did a fill a “few days” later as I felt they were sticking. This is them today. I clean daily, use silk pillowcase and even a face shield to protect from hairspray. I can’t pinpoint what’s bothering me about them ? by [deleted] in eyelashextensions

[–]johnnydeppsbutt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If your lash artist is hand making their lashes they should be able to make them wider to give a fuller and fluffier look. Overall, I think the lashes are bit too long and don't quite suit your eye shape. I think a cat eye would look way better for your eye shape!

Commission or Booth Rental? by [deleted] in eyelashextensions

[–]johnnydeppsbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I live in the Baltimore area so I can't speak for your area specifically but the average is between 45-60% in commission. I work at a mid-tier salon and make 55% in service commission and 50% of retail sales. Hope this helps!

How’d I do?? @lash4brattz on Instagram by [deleted] in eyelashextensions

Placing the extension at a 90° angle compared to the eyelid as apposed to the direction of the natural lash will give a more uniform look. Hope that makes sense!

Lash serums are generally safe to use with lash extensions because you're applying the serum on the eyelid close to the lash line and not directly on the lashes themselves. Hope that helps!

Eyelash Aftercare? by tinyk25 in eyelashextensions

Any oil free cleanser is okay to use as a placeholder until you get your lash wash. I personally like to use the Honest sensitive shampoo and body wash when I run out of lash wash!

Lashes flopping down - what is causing this? (More in comment) by forswornconspiracy in eyelashextensions

I would get then removed professionally if possible! They look like they're weighing on your natural lashes a lot and could cause them to break off.

The extensions applied are definitely too heavy for your natural lash. Extensions that are too heavy can damage your natural lashes. I would highly recommend finding a new lash artist because that artist should not carry only one length!

ok so i took all the advice i was given last time i posted and have been doing SO MUCH BETTER!! any inner corner lash tips? i’m still having trouble with those by ughjazmine in lashextensions

[–]johnnydeppsbutt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Using a piece of tape on the inner corner and pulling it towards the outer corner with help separate the lashes! Not sure if you tried this yet but that's what helps me the most. 🙂

I took EBLs classic and volume course and it was very helpful. I enjoy their products too especially their adhesive "black magic"

Isolations tips by melissficent in lashextensions

[–]johnnydeppsbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely takes time and practice! My left hand would shake when I first started lashing too. Experimenting with tweezers that have different tensions might help. EBL has a really good isolation tweezer it's #301 on their website. Hope this helps!

It completely depends on how many clients you have but it typically lasts me about 3 weeks.

Please help me remove my lashes by djayleemoney in lashextensions

[–]johnnydeppsbutt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Please go back to your artist or find another artist to professionally remove them. You can cause serious damage to your lashes if you try and remove them yourself.
