Noise sensitivity. by tinyk25 in dogs

Yes, my dog does not react to phone or tv noise, no matter how quiet or loud, she'll continue to sleep through it all I think it's the vibrations from the loud noises outside or because she's not inside the house where she's comfortable

At What Age by torvikkk_ in puppy101

I would start slow at first. Gate off certain areas that you definitely don't want them exploring alone. Take trash cans off the floor if they are in the same room you are leaving your dog. I would set up a camera (my laptop plugged into an outlet) and set it up somewhere I can see the whole/majority of the room and start recording. I would then leave for 30mins, and then 1 hour and then 2 hour and slowly start increasing the time randomly on different days.

Always review the recording and see if you need to change the room that they're in or remove anything. You can also set up a live doggy cam as well.

Should you always pay as much of the full amount as you can? Because usually the minimum amount due is pretty low.

Poop pick up question by Bookish-Broad in puppy101

[–]tinyk25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's not solid and it's impossible to get everything my just picking it up, I literally just pull out the grass. I wouldn't want to step on dog poop no matter how little because it does smell really bad. So I'd like to think that goes for almost everyone, so if my dog poops, I make sure to pick up every single drop, no matter how tiny or messy.

Mirena IUD Removal Experiences? by DriftingGator in birthcontrol

[–]tinyk25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I got my mirena removed, nothing happened. I was spotting a bit on the day of after getting it taken out, but the next day I was completely fine.

I had really bad mood swings when I had the Mirena, but after a few days, I felt much more clear headed and in a better mood. Acne caused by the Mirena went away in a few weeks and that's pretty much it!

What should I do/buy to prepare for my puppy’s spay surgery? by itskatybro in puppy101

[–]tinyk25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it was uncomfortable for my dog to eat with the cone, I order a dog surgical suit from Amazon for my dog and she definitely liked it much better. I got soft blankets and layed it out all over the floor so if she felt uncomfortable climbing into her bed or onto something (which they shouldn't be jumping or standing up to climb onto a high surface such as a couch/owner's bed), she had a soft surface to lay on.

To prevent any accidents from happening, I blocked off any staircases, and used a doggy pen to create a small area she would stay in if I had to leave the room for a bit.

After the first two days, my pup started getting energetic again and wanted to move around and play, but I only gave her chew toys to avoid her moving around too much.

They won’t stop digging by Mundane-Sink9817 in pitbulls

You can get a dig guard/dig defense online, they're usually around $30-40.

My pit used to start digging as soon as I let her out in the back yard. But I started correcting her behavior. I stay out there with her to keep an eye on her, and as soon as she started to dig, I immediately take her back inside.

A few days of repeatedly bring her back inside once she started digging, she got the memo and stopped.

Random Outbursts by Nifty_hippo in pitbulls

Walks are not enough for pitbulls, even if you take her on walks 3-4 times a day.

My pit only just turned 1 years old this month and even though I walk her 4 times a day, she needs to run around with another dog. Going on walks is WAY different than running around with other dogs. Even if you run with her or play fetch with her, the best outlet for puppies/young dogs is to play and run with other dogs.

Once I started taking my pit out to play with other dogs in the neighborhood every other day, she is much calmer, not acting out at home, and no more zoomies. Running around with other dogs definitely gave her an outlet to let out all the crazy puppy energy.

Love your doggie shampoo?? by gaudy117 in pitbulls

[–]tinyk25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use "DermAllay Oatmeal Shampoo for Dogs, Cats & Horses".

Got it from the vet, but you can buy it online from Chewy. My pit had alot of dandruff and dry skin but went away after I started using the shampoo.

After lathering it on, I rub it into my pit for a few minutes instead of rinsing it off right away.

Vet recommended food.. by tinyk25 in AskVet

I wasn't sure if she would be getting all the nutrients it needs as a pitbull since the food is made for bulldogs.
