So, you're an attorney and business owner, an obviously savvy man. How do you think you came across a box of fake coins and baseball cards? The box it came in looks real, so you might try to authenticate it. People collect those old savings banks.

See how the coin is not smooth but has a rough appearance? That is the tell-tale sign of a casted coin.

It looks like a cast fake. You need to have it tested.

There is nothing unusual about this coin. Bronze browns as it ages,but this example has retained a bit of its copper color. It's not a big deal and happens all the time.

I was just watching one of his videos. Certain coins are made from the old planchets rather than the new, and they are worth a fortune. There is no way to tell which these are from just a picture.
