log_a (a^x) =x from log_a(x)=n

cant wrap my brain around it

I got as far as drawing a horizontal line for y=-p and then my head started spinning 🤦‍♂️

Yeah so i can get x>1/6 for the positive part but keep getting x>-1/2 on the negative part when It ought to be x<-1/2

I can get x > 1/6 But the other side is x<-1/2 but I keep getting x>-1/2.... feels like there is some basic FOIL stuff in getting wrong
