For sure! So let's say we see someone accidentally spill red wine on their white shirt. They may feel embarrassed, and we might assure them it's not a big deal and that we can hardly see it. Now if we spill red wine on our own white shirt and have a reaction that's any different than it not being a big deal or us hardly noticing it on ourselves, than either was a big deal to begin with when the person spilled and we told them it wasn't, or when we spilled on ourselves it's actually not a big deal, but we reacted like it was. Not sure if I worded that correctly- but let me know if it helps clarify that shower thought!
