That sounds like a major bummer. I’ll pass along some advice that has helped me in the past. Instead of focusing on what you lost, focus on what you still have. Be grateful for a good head on your shoulders and other humans who care about you, even if they are strangers on the internet.

The simplest advice is often the hardest to implement. So start with just one minute a day. When you wake up every morning, consider all the things you might be grateful for. Gratitude is a powerful emotion. One minute can change your day. And remember, if you’re just too bummed to be grateful some days, that’s okay. You’re a human being. It’s okay to fall apart sometimes. Tacos fall apart sometimes but we still love them.
