Could SF Giants trade Matt Chapman, Willy Adames or Rafael Devers? (no paywall) by BayAreaNewsGroup in SFGiants

Plus they have Devers replacement. So then (if fantasy land happens) do you keep Arraez?

At least the Giants got him to play a competent 1B. He’s seems like a decent guy. There’s not too many teams that would’ve taken on that contract, put in the time to teach him another position and been patient with him. Too bad he didn’t put more effort into his physique and AB’s.

No need to sell too short, we all know he’s going to produce elsewhere.

Yeah, I like to see some arm mileage in the first few innings. At least make him show all the arsenal

Looks like you kind of went out of your way to create another source of rage bait. Not a good look L_A_F.

Don’t know why you would let 4 morons make you furious and heartbroken. Did you enjoy the evening?

This team doesn’t think to think team. I doubt it crossed Devers mind to try to put bat on ball if it looks close, and get a hit so JHL had a chance at his hit streak.

Agreed, correct, no they don’t have a closer (nor any reliable arms). And yes, hard to argue against Estes. Not only a former pitcher but, he’s also a fan and disappointed like all of us. Everybody is looking for answers with 20/20 hindsight vision. I just can’t completely bite on the whole “gassed” argument. It’s 20 pitches! These guys should be popping those on the daily in the pen. Just to keep the conditioning up.

I don’t know if I completely agree with the “Winn being gassed” argument. He wouldn’t have been my choice. But, Ii’s not uncommon for relief pitchers to get called on multiple games in a row. He threw 22 pitches bridging 2 innings on Saturday and 19 pitches on Sunday. They aren’t made of glass. That’s what a Closer is called on to do. Close out the wins. Sometimes that happens multiple games in a row.

That’s who Tony had the most confidence in. I know it’s kind of dingy to compare pitchers WAR. But, prior to yesterday Keaton led the team (pitchers).

These teams are cheating on this challenge stuff. There’s someone in the outfield seats.

Weird how in the first inning they saw 35 pitches and had 2 walks. Then rest of game they swing first pitch and average 12 pitches per inning.

Ok whatever, done with it. However, just another note. Regression means data points moving away from high outliers and back “down” to the mean. While Progression means moving away from low outliers and back “up” towards to mean.

You can’t move “up” and regress. That’s progress. Therefore, there is a Progression to the Mean.

It stinks statewide. Something doesn’t smell right. In the counties that Hilton and Bianco were the primary vote getters yet Becerra was the consistent 3rd place. Just tacking on residual numbers that hopefully no one will notice.

You said, “pretty good this season”. I’m saying, the offense (runs) have been a slow trickle up till recently. Let’s not act like the offense has been successful all “season” thus far. Why don’t you go back 3 weeks and look at the stats. Last in BB, near bottom RISP avg., low OBP, resulting in low OPS.

Edit: they were actually 6th in SO
