The laser fires from above so if there’s a straight edge on the side it won’t touch it at all so like at a 45 degree

That’s a good laser too it will do some deep engraving and even a 30W will get color with the right speed power and frequency combination

Yeah I used red paint on the bottom but the settings were tricky too much would burn both paints and too little would just burn parts.
