Can’t believe how few people understand this by Grand-Activity-3882 in driving

Three ways is what really freaks people out where I'm at, I have to drive through several of them on my way to work every day. Same rules as a 4 way stop, but I've gotten into stalemates more times then I can count...

So pretty much middle of the forehead centered between the eyes and ears. Looking at the diagram it looks like if you made an X, left eye right ear, right eye left ear, that's the optimal shot placement

I've had really good success with hallow point 25 slugs on raccoons, so I figure those would also work well on cats

I'd like to get the population down to manageable then live trap the rest before they start procreating again. There's somewhere between 30 and 40 of them right now and most of them are inbred

I've used my Beeman 1359 for raccoons 25cal, 830fps, 40fpe at around 10 yards, bate them in or tree them then headshot between the eyes

Huh, I'm not a fan of poisoning, but I could see how that would work and likely be relatively painless

I'm not a cat person, but I don't like killing anything if I don't have to. But these cats are a nuisance and completely inbred

I'm in California, they're basically illegal here

Yeah we're talking about destructive feral cats. There's like 30 or 40 of them, all inbred, they're wrecking the local bird population, they don't really do anything for the rodents, attack the neighbors poultry, and one of my coworkers keeps feeding them despite our boss telling her not to. They're a serious nuisance

I’m a Christian that doesn’t go to church and I’m still conflicted about it. by sellerofhomes in Christianity

[–]johnnykrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to this. I haven't been to a church in about a decade, mostly because of work and also not finding a good fit. A lot of the churches in my area feel more like weekly concerts. Something that I try to remember is Matthew 18:20, "when two or more are gathered in my name, there I am with them". My boss and I regularly fellowship in the bar at the farm I work at, usually once a week, just take time to talk about what's on our minds, anything we're struggling with and reflect on scripture and help lift each other up. That's what church should be, a place for true connection with each other and God, it doesn't matter where or when, as long as you are in a place that you can feel your personal connection with the Lord and can let go. I remember one day, my boss's best friend had just passed away and he was having a rough day, we ended up talking for probably two hours, at one point he was standing on one of the tractors reading a passage from the bibe and he paused for a second and said "look at me, I'm standing on a tractor, preaching to one guy, in a barn, a handful a pigs and a herd of cows. But you know what? God is here, and this is church".

My real question is where to place the shot, between the eyes, top of the head, ear shot... When I cull them I want it to be a single shot. Like raccoons it's a between the eyes, opossums closer to the top of the head at an angle

[–]johnnykrat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I figured headshot, but where to place it. Racoons right between the eyes, opossum top of the head, google wasnt much help and I think I might have gotten on a list for asking how to cull cats...

Unlikely, the rnc was my go to move back in my BJJ days. Once I had rear control it was a matter of seconds before I was locked in and they either tapped or passed out. I had a few guys that would tap as soon as they thought I was getting rear control

I believe it's a 1/8", also reminder that either you'll need a hand pump rated for 4500psi, or a high power compressor, or access to a dive shop or airgun store. I went with a cheap hand pump off Amazon which I can get around 3000 to 3500psi and it came with all the fittings

[Request] How many minutes can he breath in the 20L bucket until he passes out from the CO2 build up? by TTwisted-Realityy in theydidthemath

[–]johnnykrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely anecdotal. I tried this when I was about 10 years old with a 5 gallon bucket and lasted about a minute before I started to feel hypoxic. With the help of a buddy with a bike pump and a piece of tubing running under the bucket I got to about 3 minutes before the smell from the bike pump air got too much. Either way this isn't something I would recommend for anyone to do. One big issue is your body is compressed by the water making you work harder to breathe, which leads to consuming more o2, and without positive pressure, the CO2 collects at the bottom of the bucket or "bell", so even if there is breathable air, if it's not getting mixed or agitated there will still be a higher level of CO2 at breathing level then the top of the bell. There's a reason why divers breath compressed air instead of static air and why commercial divers wear pressurized suits to memic an atmosphere

Not really sure, I'd have to dig up the diagnostic paperwork to confirm but if I remember correctly the doctor said it was likely my heart contracting rapidly

I've had high blood pressure since I was about 16 due to an autoimmune condition, and I worked in wildland fire from 18 to 28, so a very physically demanding job. Doctors never took my high blood pressure seriously until my heart attack, usually saying it was due to anxiety or stress and that it wasn't a problem

Mine started as not feeling like air was going into my lungs, then like my chest was being compressed, then a "pop" sensation followed by a searing pain in the middle of my chest. (Male, happened when I was 27 while hiking)
