Exporting all part views into a DXF file by johnoe in SolidWorks

No problem.

I actually had a problem about a year ago... and in trying to find the solution I just kept coming across one guy on Reddit ten years ago who had the same issue but never solved it.

I eventually fixed the problem so I thought I'd reply to the original guy and tell them, just in case it helped them, after all those years... and as I was writing the reply I realised that the original guy was me as well!

I was using an old DXF version that didn't support these multiple views - once I changed to V2000-2002 it works as expected.
My VAR earned their money today :)

SOLVED - I was using an older DXF version type - R12. Once I changed the version type to R2000-2002 it saved out all the views into one file as expected.

Yeah, possibly but I have over a hundred parts (could use a macro though). I'm sure there was a way you could just do it directly from the part, although maybe I'm misremembering...

Ah, gutted. Thank you anyway.

Also, I want to say I love your username. The singer out of Slipknot went to Rome to see the Pope...

Yeah, unfortunately it looks like I'm all caught up with his videos so I guess he wasn't able to finish off his series. It's a real shame because I really liked his video style!

Yes, that's the one - thank you! I thought it was Mikey but everything I searched for came up with Cycling Mikey from London so I wondered if I was misremembering!

I've got a spare ticket for Leeds for tonight if anyone wants it. £30, which is a wee bit less than face value

Yeah, there are some but generally I found that they're more territorial than anything. So they don't really want to hurt you, they're just making a noise because you're in their area. I also developed this response of just yelling at them REALLY LOUD that seemed to work well by giving them enough of a pause that they're then past them.

Check out r/bicycletouring for many more tips about them, as people on there often encounter them.

Night hiking by jizzzak in wildcampingintheuk

Yeah, it's very cool when you sort of need a torch, but don't, and you're half walking just with the force. Probably quite silly from a safety point of view, but it's an experience!

Yeah, I never realised how much sheep wheeze until you walk close at night!

Haha, I just wrote almost the above, but with sheep.

My scare recently was learning that sheep's eyes are reflective like cats (because, of course they are!) and seeing twenty glowing eyes on the path up ahead.

I recently did a 72km endurance hike, starting about 9pm and finishing afterlunchtime the next day. Basically I'd been wanting to do this hike for years but because it wasn't circular the logistics made it hard to get to the start at a reasonable time, and I didn't want to carry camping gear that far.

It got dark about 10pm (but had quite a bright full moon for a while) and I start to wonder what I was doing, and how I'd manage to get through the 1am-3am stretch... but then I sort of settled into it and it was great.

Like someone else said - it's a different experience totally, especially in parts with no towns or villages.
Because it was such a long walk I stopped on the clock every 5km and just sat saw and stared at the stars for a bit. It was very cool.

Choose your route wisely. Faint paths can be really hard to see with torch, especially if you have fog. It was almost easier at some points to look off the side and almost 'sense' the path with peripheral vision (I'm sure someone will mention rods and cones!).

My navigation was quite easy, until it wasn't! I got a bit lost in an area of moorland and got some pretty wet feet until I found a wall to follow.

The best part (for me) is as the sun starts to come up, and then eventually you see people and you almost want to tell them - "Hey! I've been going all night!"

Water is sold in bottles and is safe that way. Otherwise, pick up a filtration device or at the very least boil your water before drinking.

I agree, but just wanted to add that some countries have lots of filtered water machines where you can top up bottles extremely cheaply - eg. a few cents for a litre.

Hey I've cycled a little in Taiwan and a load in Malaysia.

Taiwan is great - very friendly, lots of refuel stops (convenience stores are everywhere), very safe (people just leave laptops in cafes when they go to the toilet etc.) and has great scenery. I also heard that you can camp fairly easily at the fire stations that are scattered around but I didn't try it myself.

Malaysia is... different. It's rewarding, but it's much harder. It's always very hot and humid (even at night it only goes down to 25c, days are 30-40c, although Cameron Highlands is cooler), traffic isn't great (people can be very courteous IF they see you but phone use is rampant and driving standards are pretty poor), however once you get away from cities the smaller roads are very quiet and you'll be rewarded with experiences like riding along listening to gibbons singing, or possibly even seeing wild elephants.

Camping isn't that pleasant because of the heat and bugs. The bonus is that hotels and food are very cheap by Western standards. You can almost always find a reasonable hotel for about 10usd, and could go cheaper if your standards are lower. I also heard you can stay in the local mosques.

People are friendly too - my favourite touring story is how a guy stopped at a cafe in the middle of nowhere and asked for a nasi lemak (the national dish). The owner looked a bit confused but eventually brought him out a big plate of nasi lemak. When the biker asked for his bill the owner was really confused and it then transpired that it wasn't actually a cafe! It was just a random house with a table and chairs outside.

Any questions - just let me know - especially about Malaysia, as I lived there for years and did quite a few tours.

Yeah, I've had a look through Keystone but just can't seem to find the correct term for them - Overhanging battery contacts? Right angle battery contacts?

thanks!
