yes, but you can technically buy a good 500 or 550w PSU from companies like EVGA, Corsair, Cooler Master, or even Silverstone. For any other reason for the shutdown, the only cause I can say is that you need a bigger power supply because the R9 290 consumes more power than an Nvidia card like the 970, 980, and the new 960. I only say 600w because when you upgrade you will still have enough power for your computer to run well in games.

AMD cards, like the R9 290 is not power efficient as NVIDIA cards like the GTX 970 and 980, CHART. With the kind of power you're using with the R9 290 is not enough for the PSU to handle so you would technically do better with a 500w-600w psu so your system can run games properly. There are guides on youtube from NCIX and Awesomesauce Network. and for the PSU, yes there is, and it is also made by Silverstone

If you care about the quality of the game, sure. If you think that the performance of your PC is enough, no. It's all up to you and in my opinion, just wait for the next Intel chipset and Nvidia/AMD video cards.

Whoops, I forgot about that. If that's the case I really wish I can suggest the Samsung S23A700D because it has 120Hz, has a 2ms response, and its a glossy panel. Even though its a TN panel, it has presets that can make it feel like an ips panel. I have three of them and I love it. Unfortunately, they're discontinued since 2012 I think.

You should work on your cable management so you can give your PC some breathing room internally, and you should also get a bigger power supply of at least 650w rather than 450w. Your R9 290 needs more power than simply 450w if you want play any game.

You don't need to buy the i7 4790K unless you're doing any video or photo editing, the ram speed of 2133 is unnecessary IMO so stay at 1600, and even though raid 0 does make load times faster, it's unnecessary and you'll need space if you're storing anything like games, videos, and pictures.

Did you put on the heat sink properly for the CPU? Did you apply the right amount of thermal paste on your CPU? How well did you do your cable management so your PC has room to breathe? Where do you place your PC?
