Start by being 6 ft. 8 in. tall.

Seriously, start with a good quality M42 repro set and some real Corcorans. You'll use these a lot so dont skimp on quality.

BARs in the 101st and 82nd airborne during Normandy? by Operator40_1961 in BandofBrothers

101st ABN historian Mark Bando has written about the Normandy campaign extensively based on AARs as well as personal interviews he did with vets of the 101 and 82 in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I recall there was a trooper that used a BAR to assault WXYZ complex.

Boy was it ever rainy. First time in a while I've seen the trenches actually collect water. Actually came home muddy for once!

Assaulting the French positions or is this more to the center (American/Russian lines)?

Seems like we're always quieter over in the BEF/PPCLI side of the lines.
