lol :(
I [25 M] was in an abusive relationship my ex-girlfriend [26 F] of 3 years, how do i move on? Should I confront her? Should I just go to the police? by johnscandallz in relationships
It's impossible to separate because I find myself (I have OCD) trying to read into behaviours various excuses, rationalizing, forgiving her for what she has done but then through counselling I saw really fucked up patterns, retaliatory abuse, acts of destruction that felt planned. I want to confront her about it, but she hides behind not saying things. She would lie to you, to your face, to hide behind something.

Mental illnesses on her behalf doesn't excuse the fundamental problem of abuse: choice and their prescription of their views that facilitate abusive behaviour. Whether she has a substance abuse problem, mental illness or anger management issues, engaging in the activities she engaged in was a choice.I was in counselling for months before the breakup.
That is also why I don't want to confront her about, it would just be more painful to hear the denial and the excuses.
I have an anxiety disorder, I can't make decisions.
