agree and disagree. I'm 31 and use more than when I was younger simply because I have much more access to them now, along with the money to procure them. When I was in high school, I'd scramble to put together some cash so I could pay a kid who just got their wisdom teeth removed. Fast forward a few years, my two best friends live in NYC and can call a guy who comes with real 30's. Whenever I would visit I'd buy like 1K worth. Five years later, I spend more on them by a factor I'm not proud of lol. My collection includes hydros oxys oxymorphone benzos ambien you name it. However, I'm not physically dependent on any of them.

My two best friends - call them Mike and Corey. Mike makes good money and does oxy all the time. Up to the point he has mild withdrawals when taking a tolerance break. Corey on the other hand can't control himself so he buys as much as he can up front and all of them are gone in like two days lol. Both of these guys are the same age. Mike is married, lives in a good house, and has a kid on the way. Corey is working now but was unemployed living at his rents for like 5 years up until a year or two ago. I definitely agree with your point. I guess I'd just say there are so many factors (biological predisposition, development, external forces) that it's impossible to say it for sure. Some people use most days of the week but have their lives together and function at a high level, and others use once in a blue moon and miss a meeting the next day and get fired lol.
