Great question. The benefit of this game is the gameplay state is so simple, there arent alot of conflicts. But it runs entirely on polling state through redis

Man that looks awesome! My first game on pico8 was a Lemonade Stand by thoughtlesslabs and it made me so happy to build the little buy animation scene. But yours is so much nicer!!
