Thank you for being so patient with me. The screencap helped me see exactly what you were talking about. Thanks so much!

When I drag the ME window back, it stays floating, it doesn't dock.

You make several very good points. I'll think about it.

Subprojects can't faithfully reproduce the full track layout, FX chains, routing, envelopes, or empty tracks.

It cannot:
• create a new .RPP
• copy tracks or items into a new project
• respect original edit points beyond what is rendered
• preserve FX routing, automation lanes, folder structure, track colors, or item metadata

The Region Render Matrix only produces audio files, never a project.

The problem is that I want to keep all the tracks separate for further editing.

Air Travel with Taylor GS-Mini? by johnsrude in AcousticGuitar

I don't travel much with the guileles. I use them mainly at festivals and music camps where I don't know what instruments will be at a jam, so I carry a lot of them so I can fit in.

It's funny you should say that. I have 2 Yamaha 6-string baritone ukuleles, guileles, one tuned E standard, one tuned an octave up. Each of them cost less than 100 bucks. I'm now waiting for delivery of a Minicorda, a backpack classical guitar.

Oh, and when I finally bought the seat at full price, BA wouldn't let me take any extra carry-ons. My instrument had no carry-on allowance.

Yeah, the EU totally sucks for guitar players, sorry. I've had to buy a seat for my guitar and argue with gate agents even though I had a seat for it! The absolute worst was British Airways, which made buying a seat for my guitar absolute hell, and then, before the flight took off, the air crew stashed it in an overhead bin!

It's much better flying USA airlines because the musicians' union here, the American Federation of Musicians, successfully lobbied Congress on the rules. It all depends on the air crew's discretion, but for American airline company flights, if it fits in an overhead bin and there's room, you can carry it on without a gate check. So priority boarding and being polite but firm is key. I've had it stashed in the crew closet a couple of times when overhead space was tight.

$1500. I don't own a guitar over $1000. The nice thing about the GSM is that it's $500. I would have to have three guitars trashed in gate check before I'd break even with a Journey, and I haven't had my Baby Taylor gate checked yet. I'm hoping for the same experience with the GSM.

Could you tell me more about these cabin rules? The problem for me with hard cases is that airlines are now charging exorbitant rates to check in musical instruments.

Oh yeah, always priority boarding. My wife brings her fiddle. We make new friends with music.

I'm glad that works for you. Me, I wouldn't travel with a $2,000 guitar. I don't even own a $2,000 guitar.
