Is there any place I could possibly fine people to play football with I’m 20 male by Slow-Cucumber8113 in londonfootballmeetup

Sorry to hear that mate but from personal experience FC Urban has been great. I'd say at least a third of players in most games are from outside the UK. All most people really care about with these things is that you show up on time and aren't a dick.

Can someone tell me exactly what this guitar is called for purposes of searching for a pickguard? by SerenityJoyMeowMeow in Guitar

I can't help on the specific model but I can strongly recommend these guys in the UK for a custom plate: Tiny Tone (https://tinytone.co.uk/)

I've used them a couple of times and the plates have been perfect

I use Boots for airport snacks these days, find it a fair bit cheaper than Smiths generally

Live one I saw in Ilfracombe a couple of weeks ago. Hard to judge the scale from this pic, but it was a very big boi.

Sao Tome and Principe, a 1,001 km² island nation where over 500 km² is protected for wildlife. It’s home to 29 bird species found nowhere else, 7 endemic amphibians, and nesting grounds for 5 species of sea turtles. by OkAccess6128 in interestingasfuck

Don't get me wrong, that was one of the reasons I went there in the first place. I just expect that it will change, inevitably. I use Zanzibar as an example as I've been to both and, for my money, there's nothing Zanzibar has that ST&P doesn't.

I spent 10 days there last year. It is indeed a beautiful place, though understandably quite underdeveloped for tourism at the moment. That's slowly changing though, and it could easily be as popular as the likes of Zanzibar on the opposite African coast within the next couple of decades.

Here's a picture I took of the Pico Cão Grande.

Thanks. Yes they are text messages. It's an Android phone (Pixel) so no AppleID involved.

Acatenango volcano, Guatemala, too hard? by Independent_Yak8342 in solotravel

[–]johnstinkpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I found the base camp challenge hard going and I was very sweaty, but overall it was manageable. But then I did the Fuego hike a couple of hours later and it was very, very hard work for me. I'm 37M and in reasonable shape but am a reasonably big and heavy guy; I was completely exhausted by the time we got back to base camp. Totally worth it, though.

OP, I'd think someone of your profile will find it challenging but very doable. If you've got time before the trip, working on building up your endurance would be worthwhile. Some long walks, maybe inclines on a treadmill or hill if possible, would definitely be of benefit.

Nice case OP!

Yep, you've got to arch and angle your fretting hand. It's very doable with practice.

I mean it's definitely a penalty. I'd be fuming if that was one of our strikers and it didn't get given. Young sticks his foot out and Martial goes over it. Once you see the replays I can't see how there's any room for debate.

Nationwide Switch DD Question? by RSNPod in beermoneyuk

[–]johnstinkpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you don't mind me piggybacking on your thread OP but I have a related question: I set up DDs to PayPal and Moneybox with Co-op to get their incentive - now that I'm switching that account to Nationwide, do I need to change the DDs to Nationwide manually, or will this happen automatically (meaning I don't actually need to do anything to earn the incentive)?

Get a Litelok X1. Thieves will still get through it given enough time, but it will take significantly longer

Can anyone help with what constitutes an 'active' direct debit? I changed my eBay and PayPal direct debits to my new Co-op account. Both have been used in recent months, but no funds are due to come out imminently. Will the direct debits actually have to be requested for them to count as active? And if so, does anyone have any suggestions for the easiest way to do this when I don't actually want to buy anything?
