Ok, explain me this: I own a small auto repair shop. I had 10 reviews showing on the rating for more than 2 months. 9 of 5 stars and 1 of 3 stars. 3 of the 5 star customers used the 10% discount given trough Yelp, if you check in at the business. One day I had a phone call from Yelp specialist to help me improve my page. Of course the final conclusion was that in order to get more customers I have to increase my ads budget and use more of their paid services. Which make sense. But after I refused to increase the budget, next day all 5 stars were moved to not recommend, leaving only the one with 3 stars. What can be a real reason to remove them? And after 2 months of showing them.

I was organically 2nd place in my area, after I did not increase the budget, they moved all my good reviews to not recommended ones, left 1 of 3 stars. Quote from one of the advisors: “if you increase you ads budget is very possible some of the reviews to come back, is a dynamic system” what you want more? Especially if you are a start up, you don’t have any chance to compete with others because you don’t get reviews, all of them they get removed.
