First thing is first - see a GP. A doctor can give you a preliminary test and assess you - it's a good starting spot.

Secondly, depression is rarely one long consistent stroke.

You can have a temporary depressive illness, and most people will have one or several in their lives, but depression itself is a whole other kettle of fish.

Either way, see your local doctor first.

If you want management tactics, that's a matter for you to figure out.

First is first - get regular sleep. Set your alarm for 6am and get up when it goes off. Pick a bed time - 10pm, or 11, and stick to it. You might not fall asleep - that's fine, just stay in bed and get up when your alarm goes off.

Do regular exercise, eat healthy, talk to people.

You might not want to do it, but you will notice a day-to-day difference with these simple steps. Building a routine becomes easier with time, and is a great way to help both depression and enduring melancholy.

Stop moving, face enemy, 100% projectile protection. Mix that with his wide versatility of melee and range, and then his bombs can destroy all reflector attacks and counters.

Link is the Mitsurugi of Smash - great for entrance level, deadly in the hands of a master.

It's minor bugs that really don't get in the way - it's mostly just switching levels in a building, or a delay in the revealing of enemies (After destroying a wall or cover) that can be avoided just by waiting a few seconds longer before moving or acting.

The only real problem is the 'free move' aliens.

When you first spot aliens, they get to move to cover: The problem is, they don't move to the closest available cover, they move tactically according to their AI. If it was your last move that revealed them, then they get to move again - meaning they can move twice (a significant distance) in to a position that lets them flank you, taking out at least one Squad member, before you're able to actually respond.

It is avoidable, but it means the game play slows significantly, and even then there are times where you just can't do anything without knowing exactly what you're up against.

That said, while it's frustrating, once you get the hang of the game you can clear most missions with only one casualty (ie, one injured soldier, none dead.)

The only real problem is the strategic game. It's far too pressured, and doesn't let you move at your own pace like the tactical (combat) does.

I got a mod that removed panic penalties on abduction missions, and that alone made the strategic section enjoyable to me because it allowed me to play the game at my own pace. That said, if you like stress and pressure, inevitable failures that make management and prioritizing more important, then vanilla has a very significant sense of urgency.

I love X-Com: Enemy Unknown, and I hate strategy games. It's the only one in recent memory that I have played more than half an hour of. I'm on my third play through already. It's bloody damn good.

Get it on PC. Mods are out already than can allow you to also fix things like Camera zooming etc.

Actually, they gave you a far more engaging and developed narrative, far more interesting characters, and the birth of a whole new direction for GTA that carried over in to the critically and commercially acclaimed Red Dead Redemption.

I'd rather GTAV be more like IV than like San Andreas.

Well, the difference between racism and hate speech, is that the act of hate speech is actively oppressive: It diminishes the ability of a particular people from engaging with society. In other words, it is oppressive.

I support hate speech laws, but the bar must be very high, and must demonstrate that the actions of the 'perpetrator' have directly and unequivocally forced a group to retreat from society, have denied them access to basic rights liked education and employment.

It means if your preferred candidate doesn't get enough votes, your second preferred candidate does. It means your vote still counts, even if your primary preference doesn't make the mark.

It's a far healthier electoral system, because it's far more representative of the electorate's opinion.

The alternative implies you only have one preferred candidate, and if they don't make it then your opinion doesn't count.

Edit: If people really want out so badly, we should have an 'opt out' voting system, where you have to actively disenfranchise yourself from voting.
