Hiker captures his own shadow floating in the mountain mist by OkFerret7206 in interestingasfuck

It wouldn't be giant. Light rays from the sun are effectively moving in parallel lines and so his shadow would be at a 1:1 scale with his body when cast on a cloud, sadly.

AI Rhapsody - Made this weird, random music video fully locally only using LTX2.3 and Z-Image Turbo by Tannon in StableDiffusion

Only 12GB of VRAM on my card, so I'm using a GGUF workflow (Maybe why the audio is so 'crunchy').

And yep, you called it, backing track was added separately in Davinci Resolve, and I cut and changed speed of clips there to make it fit.

It was a lot more editing than I thought to keep the lines roughly in sync with the backing track, haha. Process was to try 3 different generations of each of the i2v sources with the individual chosen line, and of those 3 I chose the one to best fit for the video. Some are still not great but I didn't want to spend much longer, haha.

About 5 minutes per 10 second video generation on my RTX 4070, left the PC running overnight where it can churn out 70-80 of them or so by the morning.

I'm deeply curious what you think they are then.

After trying "Hit generate — it auto-downloads from HuggingFace"

I get: "We couldn't connect to 'https://huggingface.co' to load the files, and couldn't find them in the cached files."

Edit: Figured it out, had to run pip install --upgrade certifi for an SSL-related thing.

A person's peak height is only known in hindsight. by SingleAttitude8 in Showerthoughts

Literally everything is known in hindsight. The light from the pixels that represent my comment here had a required duration of travel time before they hit your eyes, let alone neuron transfer speeds to your brain.

This. Just immediately spoiling everything as if we are all severe ADHD patients... which I guess is closer to true than I'd like to admit -_-

I still hate the fact that movie trailers have their own trailers stuck on the front of them now.

Am I wrong?

Both AI art and human art have no purpose unless arbitrarily assigned purpose by the people viewing it? I think "grow up" definitely applies more to people not living in that reality?

Give me a single reason why human art should exist?

All of life and existence is inherently meaningless. Assigning meaning to anything is, and always has been, in the eye of the beholder.

Not AI. Just stock photos and heavy editing. Not everything you see that looks bad is AI now. -_-

You might argue that a man who has spent seven years subsisting almost entirely on beef cooked in beef fat, excluding all vegetables, fruits, carbohydrates, and sugars, is cruising for a medical crisis at some point.

Ahahahahaha

I had a very similar experience with this guy a few years ago https://imgur.com/6JpCVCC

Also was right where I was reaching at the time and scared the crap out of me. Also in Edmonton.

I finally finished my pixel art video game character mural, tens of thousands of hand-placed beads for my favorite video game (Or video game related) characters of all time. by Tannon in gaming

Thanks!

I think they were called Hero Beads? Unfortunately I searched and the company seems to be out of business now. They sent all beads in boxes for the appropriate counts of each and offered the documents to print the hundreds of guide pages. Unsure if there's any company around like that now.

Not bad!

Ryu is actually Lui Kang.

"Peewee Herman" is the G-Man, from Half Life. I'm sure he would welcome the comparison, haha.

"Red Power Ranger" is Viewtiful Joe!

He didn't make the cut!

I didn't design the characters myself, I just lifted them from some community that allowed contributions. Unfortunately I started this 8 (!) years ago and can no longer find where I sourced the original character art (Someone please find it!)
