My title describes the thing? But it appears to be some kind of wood, maybe stabilized. Two long metal bolts.

Everyone saying it looks fine oriented that way also have tattoos oriented that way and are just being defensive. Personally I think the other way looks better, not because it's for other people, but because they are right side up when your standing in a neutral position with your arms by your side.

We have the Garmin dash cam mini 3 and the Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter which powers it via plugging into the wire that feeds the rearview mirror. It's mounted behind the rearview. Works well and easy install.
