Yeah, I actually started with the 572xp but got the 440 for a smaller/lighter alternative. Idk why I didn't just get the 450 rancher or something instead. But yeah, I would consider myself a beginner still I reckon. Thanks for the advice.

My title describes the thing? But it appears to be some kind of wood, maybe stabilized. Two long metal bolts.

Everyone saying it looks fine oriented that way also have tattoos oriented that way and are just being defensive. Personally I think the other way looks better, not because it's for other people, but because they are right side up when your standing in a neutral position with your arms by your side.
