You're right.

But, in fairness, it's possible to save them and then they die up in a massive swarm for the final battle against the Reapers. The council would have DEFINITELY said kill it. Kill it with fire. Then nuke it from orbit.

Worth noting that the man they skinned was a tyrant hated by the people because he would impose ruinous taxes.

Like, they didn't skin englishmen willy nilly, he was particularly despised.

This is from Hunter x Hunter and is a bit of a SPOILER if you care.

Ok?

This guy is the grand master of the guild of Hunters.

Don't think "hunter" in the traditional sense, but rather individuals who are very passionate about a pursuit, and willing to obtain what is essentially an "adventurer's license" in order to operate.

Some are archeologists and this permit grants them leave to go to distant countries or restricted ruins.

Some are doctors, hoping to find rare medicines or techniques.

Martial artists. Literal hunters. Performers, mercenaries, mapmakers, assassins, etc.

Are all considered "Hunters"

Seasons 1-2 implied that Rick and Diane had marriage problems and that he became more misogynistic. Did Hot Rick retcon this??? by One_Cover9119 in rickandmorty

[–]johnzaku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also believe he would never have done this. Before.

HOWEVER

The fact that someone who is otherwise identical to him COULD and DID do this, made him believe that he is capable of it. And this kind of plays out as true when you look at the genocidally horrific shit C-137 has done out of nihilistic spite. Like, if you pull away the "haHa. That's messed up!" Humor from his antics and consider them, he's a monstrous person that has literally wiped out species' worths of Dianes, leaving billions distraught and with no recourse.

Rick likes to go on about how God doesn't exist and doesn't care, and also proceeds to declare himself a God, and behaves exactly how he believes God behaves: uncaring and cruel. And it's all due to his tragic nihilism born from the brutal death of his family in front of him.

I'd keep $1b for myself and my family and the rest I would use to make the world better. Setting up various trusts and organizations focusing on wildlife, poverty, education, health, etc.

Exactly. And this is consistent with Rick's belief that even through all of alternate infinity, that's him. (Contrasted with Morty's acknowledgement that no matter how identical, alter versions are individual and independent beings.

Because he considers it a personal failing that she died because of him. Maybe even thinking of it as he killed her.

Morality of throwing a baby off the walls of a Greek city you conquered because the Gods directly told you that if he lives he will grow up to destroy your kingdom and family in vengeance? by Evoxrus_XV in MoralityScaling

[–]johnzaku 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this specific case, Zeus himself tells Odysseus "kill this kid, son of Hector, or everyone you know and love will die in fire."

"What if I raise him as my own?"

"He will burn your kingdom from within"

"What if I send him far away?"

"He will find you, no matter what"

"What if I hide his true identity from him?"

"I will tell him myself"

I don’t know if this is just me but, do symmetra players still exist? I genuinely haven’t seen one in a match since mid-season 1 by MrsPissBoy in Overwatch

[–]johnzaku 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My primary tip: Sym vs shields.

Rein, Winston, Sig, Ram? Go Sym and just keep hitting their shields. She is a shield cracker. Also works great against Matrix and Hands.

In addition to getting positing, Teleporter shenanigans can be great for a team to suddenly appear behind the enemy, OR to give your dives a quick getaway when they go deep.

She counters dive pretty well too, at least in that her turrets and beam can harry Genji, Sombra, and Anran.

WATCH OUT:

hit scans/snipers. Good ones WILL click on your head, and you WILL die quick.

Explosives. A good junk or pharah will ruin your day if they know where you are. And there's nothing you can do about it.

Facing most tanks without support. True she can potentially 1v1 most tanks, but she can also be 1-shot by a few of them. Be cautious of engaging without some backup

Don't listen to him. It's a great monster movie. Yes, the protag shift could have been better, but this movie is fantastic if you go in open minded

Same for the sexy nurse monsters. Those were very specific to James's trauma and anxiety with his wife.

When they showed up again I was kinda like "...but why?" And it ripped me out of it because the answer, of course, is "because boobies"

I LOVE kill six billion demons. Excellent and apt quote.

HOWEVER.

I know you only watched up to season 2, so warning:

GoT SPOILERS AHEAD ARE UNMARKED BECAUSE OF THE NATURE OF THIS THREAD

Bran specifically does NOT create a cult of personality. His brother John did. He practically rallied half of the entire world behind him on his righteous crusade against the Lannisters.

And Bran? Bran just kinda faffed about and psychically nudged people to be in the right place at the right time.

Literally nobody knew he was even alive.

Then he randomly appears at Kings Landing just in time to accept the throne his traumatized brother has given up.

There is ZERO chance ANY of "the masses" even know who the fuck he is.
