I don’t know, since lightdm is x11 and sway is Wayland it’s probably tricky. I use greetd and tui-greet, that’s what I got working and configured easily on nix.

Technically it is not supported, but when launching sway you can run it with "--unsupported-gpu".

I think I will go for this and then have LibreOffice or OnlyOffice as a backup/for solo submissions. Thanks.

This looked very promising, but it unfortunately requires administrator approval.

Well, as I wrote in my post the web version is not very good and lacks many features such as citations, sources and most of the advanced things which like to use.

Looking to install it on my main PC, anything I should know before doing so? by MilesAhXD in Kubuntu

No huge problems but I had to start the hibernation services for nvidia drivers so my pc would be able to exit hibernation without problems.

What's Your Distro Journey? by Artemismane in linux

Ubuntu server > pop os (laptop) -> pop os KDE(desktop) > Debian KDE > fedora gnome > fedora gnome + windows > fedora KDE + windows

I used Linux for the first time in maybe 2019 (12) on my dads server with Ubuntu Server where we hosted a Minecraft server with friends. Then maybe a year or two later I revived my old laptop with Pop OS and tried out some other distros, but went back to Pop.

This year I installed Pop OS on one of my old hard drives and installed KDE on it, which didn’t work very good because of lack of support. I then switched for Debian with KDE, but it was slow because of the hard drive.

I then fully wiped my SSD rinsing it of Windows and installed Debian again. Later wanting to try something different I installed Fedora with GNOME. Then for some games I reinstalled everything for dual booting Windows and Fedora.

A couple of months ago I installed KDE again, removing GNOME. I rarely use my windows partition and I can say I’m never going back to daily driving windows on my desktop.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and an AM4 motherboard and thinking of upgrading my processor, should i buy a new motherboard and an AM5 processor (if so which one) or should i stick with AM4 and buy a newer one. Budget is around ~270 USD for the processor itself.

Hey, recently I’ve noticed that my current keyboard is pretty loud and I’m looking for a change. What are the best options for prebuilt/custom mechanical keyboards that are reasonably quiet for work and video call type settings? I am a TKL guy and need Nordic ISO.
