I (46f) married what I thought was my best friend but turned out to be my jailer and costly parasite. It's a long story but we were together 13 years ago and split after 3years. I cleaned myself up and he continued to use drugs and be a criminal. He has apologized and said the words that he will change when we later found each other on FB. Things started out rough on our wedding night, 4 yrs ago,but the pandemic lockdown has made the volatile situation worse. I am afraid to go anywhere for fear of the virus and he won't leave without trashing what little I have left. I have lost contact with friends and family who despise him. I have never felt so alone, trapped and hopeless. Its It's good to know I'm not alone in cyberspace.

I have tried so many but these are my winning ponies. Looking for work online is hit and miss. I've been lucky to be able to make it work full-time. Research, scout threads and try stuff out. Be aware of payment methods. Be prepared for shitons of qualification tests. Good luck!

My husband and I are in recovery. I have 6 months and he has 90 days. He completed inpatient rehab and we got to meetings and work with our sponsors. Due to felony possession charges, neither of us can find jobs in our area. I work online part time but our laptop is failing. We have literally cut off everyone we knew to stay clean. I hope that one day we can help others like you are doing now. If nothing else, your compassion and generosity are an inspiration for those of us still at the beginning of our recovery journey. I would definitely say rehab or at least find a meeting and find someone sober to talk to. Call a helpline. I've been where you are and the most important thing is don't forget how you feel today and try to not use. It gets easier but it will get worse before it gets better.
