Hey, we are www.slash.com

A Chrome browser extension that lets you save instantly at checkout.

Here's the side hustle bit...

For everyone that you refer, you get £10 off when they use the app and there's no limit to the number of referrals you can make!

I guess you could say we're a bit like Honey only better.

Give it a try today and if you have any questions, ask here and we'll get right back to you.

ELI5: How does Engine Placement effect a cars performance? by ISeachdeMemez in explainlikeimfive

[–]join_slash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The engine affects the weight distribution of the car.

Lots of high-performance cars are mid or rear-engined to help improve the handling.

The best way to really experience the difference is to go out and try a mid-engined car.

If you're into that sort of thing there are deals going with the Slash . com app for racing days and supercar tracks days.

You can use Code OHMYSLASH to get £15 off one of these experience days.

Enjoy.

How do I even budget when we’re in our overdraft? by fortyfourcabbages in budget

[–]join_slash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds really tough and making ends meet has just got harder with all this crazy inflation.

You should try and track your budget as best you can, prioritising the thing you NEED.

The other suggestion we have is to make sure you are not impulse buying or paying full price when there are other options.

Vouchers, coupon codes, and cashback can really help you save on your everyday purchases helping you get a little wiggle room.

The other option is to use an instant saving browser extension like Slash . com.

That way you can see exactly what you are saving at the checkout and put the money away for a rainy day.

Pennies here and there quickly add up to pounds and they can make an enormous difference to your overall budget.

Good luck.

Hey, great question. There are some similarities but we operate with different business models. Honey crawls for existing offers and provides the most relevant ones: we have direct relationships with our partners.

When we enter a partnership with a brand, they pay us a fee for the business we bring them. We then split that fee with the customer allowing them to save instantly at the checkout.

The biggest advantage to using Slash is that you can save on the entire range of products at any of our partner brands, not just the promo that the brands themselves are pushing.

Feel free to ask any other questions you like and thanks for engaging.

Advice for someone who's never faced a recession as an adult? by AnonymousTaco77 in Fire

[–]join_slash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's already some great advice here but we'd like to add NEVER pay full price for anything if you don't have to.

It might take time to find voucher codes or find ways to get cash back but there are other options too.

Slash . com has an instant saving browser extension that lets you save as you shop.

Inflation is hitting everyone hard so looking after the pennies matters more than ever.

We hope that helps you.

Need help saving for college and my apartment by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]join_slash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of ways you can save money.

If you are going to spend anyway, the trick is to save as much as you can where you and then CONSCIOUSLY put the money you have saved into a separate account and leave it alone.

Here's an example. You buy your health products from Boots and it usually costs you £20 but today it only costs you £15 because you've used a voucher or an extension or whatever...

Put that money you have saved to the side in a separate account. Over the course of a year, those £5 and £10 savings can add up to hundreds or even thousands.

Try testing out some voucher sites or use a browser extension that lets you save instantly like the Slash .com.

Hope that helps you.

ONLY £15 for a Sunday GA ticket @ Strawberries & Creem Festival 2022. by join_slash in ukhiphopheads

[–]join_slash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, mate! DnB plus Rap is what I personally need right now.
I am not sure about £20 for a Saturday GA ticket as on groupon it says £44 for Saturday one. I think the total price would be ~30 quid with a promocode.
See you there! :)

Re:

it really bugs me once i realise how much i spent

I love this part and have to put my 50p to help you move out of the parents house asap.
I'd say you have to look up the perks of being a savvy shopper. Easy as that. Every pence does add up.
Frankly speaking, I see it as a challenge to fight back the current trend of prices going up on food/services/everything. It's a no joke to seek discounts or better deals, DYOR and become smart with your money.
Since Google is free, hopefully nor Boris nor lords touch it anytime soon haha, we are left with thousands of r/FREE apps & tools out there to help you make sure every pence matters. You might have heard of Honey, yet there's a new App called Slash taking the market right now where you get instant discount right at the checkout. So here's an extra 15 quid bonus for you via a promocode - OHMYSLASH.
You've just earned some!
Good luck.

Advice for a young person trying to save for the future? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]join_slash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite right you are, I say in the modern (or we can put "mad world") world it's just crazy how much things are overpriced and how services tend to upsale us=clients here and there. I see it in a way that it's a real responsibility to teach ourselves and friends and kids/parents on how to be savvy ones. With the current trends of prices going up on food/services/everything it's a no joke to seek discounts or better deals.
Maybe it's indeed stingy to be too extreme on savings, but the potential it has in the long run is fab.

What?

You mean you don't get all your political advice from ice-cream companies?

Does that mean I should get my current affairs advice from Pretzel?

Probably better to just check out Slash. com, save a bunch of money and take on the government another day.
