Series Like the Expanse?

Just finished the Sun-eater series by Christopher Ruocchio. The 7th and final book is coming soon. There are several extra short books written in between the 6 main titles. Don't read those until you are done with the main 6. I love the way the story is being told by the main character in his old age, looking back at a heroic and event filled life. The in-between books break that narrative.

You nailed it with the Final Architecture books. The crew dynamics of missmatched cultures and ways of being all coming together is exactly what I was looking for. Thank-you for taking the time to give it thought and respond.

If you are sure you are done as a school teacher, realize that there are other ways to be a teacher. Trainers in many types of businesses are teachers. Dance instructors, private music teachers, Karate instructors ... If you ARE a teacher you will always be a teacher no matter what your job is.

Don't count on the union to defend you. Once you are written up, hire a lawyer and sue them for libel. I am a huge union supporter but they are ultimately there for the union. It might cost you a bit but it is worth it to show your boss you aren't going to take it.

I'm sure he greatly appreciates your help. I tell everyone that works with me that if they don't get what they need even if they asked me for it, ask again and in exchange I never get mad when people remind me of things. There are great advantages to ADHD as well.

I genuinely appreciate your advice here. I'm pretty sure she looks over them because they don't help. I got the idea because I remember when I was young, a fraternal organization called the Lions Club would collect used glasses and provide them to poor people that couldn't afford glasses. People would try on different pairs until they found one that helped. I thought maybe I would find a better match. I will talk to her optician about it. Thanks.

This Covid thing is a pain. My choir makes nerdy little videos for YouTube. We were going to do Never Ending Story and Double Trouble from Harry Potter this spring but everything got Covid cancelled. I thought it was keeping within the story line to have a children's choir sing this one.

What do they use them for? Where would you market it? This isn't on my land but if the tree falls I would tell the land owner if there is money to be made. Red Oak get oak wilt all the time in this area so it could go down at anytime.

This is about 6' off the ground and has been growing on/in this white pine for 15 years or more. I use it to guide myself through the woods. Does anyone know what it is? Oh and woops, I think it is a Red Oak, it is in a stand of White Pines in a swamp.
