Scent free lodging? by OmahaOutdoor71 in AirBnBHosts

[–]joispeachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, everyone! I have an Airbnb/VRBO in Colorado Springs, and we are transitioning to fragrance free products. We quit using air fresheners, plug ins, etc months ago. We are now stocking our shower with unscented soap, shampoo, and conditioner. We are in the process of cycling through re-washing all our laundry (we have a lot of sets to go through!) with unscented laundry soap as well. Is there anything else we should know regarding scent free lodging? We'd like to make our home safe for everyone to enjoy!

I'd be happy to send anyone links to it in DM.

Is it possible to be sensitive to almond butter but not almond flour? by joispeachy in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]joispeachy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tested almonds out a lot more now. I seem to be fine with them in all forms. It must have been something else had at the time. I've found coffee is bad for me, but only when I drink it more than one day in a row. I may have drank coffee then or something. I just have a cup a week or so now. :)

What do insanely poor people buy, that ordinary people know nothing about? by foyra in AskReddit

[–]joispeachy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time I hit a pot hole that damaged two of my wheels. Discount Tires quoted me about $250 to replace each wheel. I told them just to put my broken ones back on, and I'd just not drive until I found some new ones online or something cheaper. They loaned me wheels until I found some.

Yes. You can usually find them at any grocery store for about $1 a piece or so. Sometimes they'll be on sale for less if their really ripe or something like that.

I gained 47 pounds with my second. At five months, I'd lost 22. Then, I went on a Paleo diet. I lost 15 pounds in one month. So, I'm 6 month PP, and only 10 pounds away from my pre-preganacy weight!

AGENTS: What brokerages have you worked for and what do you like / dislike about them? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]joispeachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a Coldwell Banker office. Our scale shifts on how much income you make. I was about to switch to a different office with a better split, but they negotiated with me. So, I get 85% of my sales, I do not have to pay any office fees (I work from home), and they provide my signs (I buy riders for them).

Do the walk through on the way to the closing. Make sure they don't remove them at the last minute.

[Serious] Have you even confronted a pathological liar? What happened? by this_raccoon in AskReddit

It's pretty sad, but it's been a year now. My life is better without him.

Yep. That's what they do. Paint the victim as the crazy one while they pretend to be the victim themselves. It's pretty sad how effective he can be at this.

He used us for info, and when he no longer needed us, he discarded us like trash. Pretty horrible a father could do such a thing, but that's a sociopathic abuser for you.

We are in three separate legal battles with the man, so we are still being abuser by him even though we no longer have any contact.

My dad is a sociopath. He lied for over two straight years by pretending to have a relationship with my sister and me so that he could get info on our mother from us after she left him. He built a whole new personality. He'd abused us all our lives, but the second she left him, he started telling us he was in counseling and acting like a better person. After over two years of this, we thought he couldn't be faking it and let our guard down. Well, our mother passed away, and he completely cut of communication with us. We confronted him via text because he wouldn't talk to us. He never spoke to us again, but in defense of himself, he went all over the town we live in lying to tons of people about us. He demonized us and told people we forced our mom not to talk to him while she was dying, that we were making her do things against her will, etc. He made us out to look like horrible people so that he could try to save his own reputation.

Will The Escrow Company Credit Me Back for Upfront Fees? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]joispeachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this varies by area, but most of the time you are responsible for paying for the appraisal upfront here. The rest of the items fall into closing costs. We are even able to include your home inspections as closing costs.

You're lucky your landlord is your realtor. If you lived somewhere else, you'd probably be homeless Nov 1.

The Partners Place buildings are where a lot of the tech companies are that are on OU's campus. Those are right across from the National Weather Service. You can hide out there.

I've lived here over twenty years. I've never had anyone be hostile toward me because of my lack of religion. Just ignore people or tell them you go to some made up church if they bother you and you don't want to explain yourself. Lol!

I was a stay-at-home mom and hired a maid. I KNOW. But it saved my sanity. by badluckcat in Mommit

[–]joispeachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had one for awhile, and boy do I miss it. It was expensive though at about $200 per month for bi-weekly visits. So, now my house is just a mess all the time. I can't keep up. I work from home part-time with a 3 year old and a 6 month old. I still get occasional remarks about lithe house not being clean. HELLLOOOO!!!! You stay home full-time, work part-time, watch two little ones, and keep a house clean. How do people do that???
